Samnite impact wasn't good enough for Epirote pikes. But a tricky game for me facing samnite number...

3. Histonium: GeneralKostas (army 3) versus carpenkm (Illyrian or Apulian).
Carpenkm beat GneralKostas 43-12
Some nice rough hills allowed me to camp and wait. Despite the best efforts of the Histonium hoard the Apulians waited and struck when the enemy over extended themselves. Well played General K.
Apologies for the slow / delayed play I had some personal issues over the last couple of weeks.

Round 8: Administration

by kronenblatt
- Armies 3, 4, 16, 17 are removed from the map.
- GeneralKostas retires from the campaign at his own request, his army and structure control removed from the map.
- The capitals of markleslie, Doyley50, and carpenkm are lost and since they can have no lines of logistics, their armies (4, 16, and 17, respectively) are irrevocable eliminated.
- markleslie owns no remaining structures and is therefore eliminated.
- Doyley50, and carpenkm: please let me know whether you want to keep your structures (without armies) or remove control and consider yourselves eliminated (as players) too.
- Doyley50: decides to be eliminated.
- kronenblatt, shane30, dim30, deeter: please let me know whether you want to advance into the structures that you've gained control of.

The Future?

I'm feeling that this campaign has outlived itself and now may be the time to call it a halt.
What do you say: do you agree?
Or how could it otherwise be revitalised and reinvigorated, and who would then like to continue?
I'm all ears...

I never like the idea of just abandoning a game, especially one worked hard on by someone. I'm all for continuing, but maybe having an end-game soon. Maybe tweet the rules, or mush the remaining people closer together to keep knocking out people, or maybe once someone is eliminated their lands cannot be invaded/touched? Something to whittle down the distance/number of players, and maybe at the same time, like I said above, having a quicker end-game? On saying that, if the majority of people just want to stop, that's fine of course. I just don't like ending a tournament without an 'end'. Sorry if its a ramble I just came back from a night out.^^

Elimination sounds pretty permanent to me and that's as it should be unless this game is intended to continue in perpetuity?
So, thanks for the memories and good night!

Yes, that's true: nothing lasts forever.

Many thanks for participating, Mark! Hope you enjoyed it and that you'll get your revenge as Sassanid player in Eye of The Storm.

I'm fine either way; happy to continue if others want to or fold up shop if that's the consensus.

I would personally prefer to end the tournament now/soon, but will continue to play if that's how the vote goes.
