Great, I sign you up for Etruscans then. It's always 1600 FP. And the army you get now is only for the next game (thereafter the usual switch of armies between the two players), and only the challenger gets the option to use allies.

Please also note the following changes to the rules

• Wins result in the number of points equal to the difference in places between the two players (when the game began), but never less than 1 point, e.g., if the player in the fifth place defeats the player in the second place, he'll get 3 points (= 5 - 2), but if the other way around, he'll get 1 point (= 2 - 5 = -3, but never below 1).

• Draws and losses both result in 0 points, so no difference between them.

• Challenges are expected to always be accepted, but games can be played out over a period as long as four weeks, so no excessive burden.

Absolutely, you're welcome, Willie! I'll add you.

A lot of armies left to choose from (see fourth post of this thread).

Just keep in mind that you'll play with that army only in your first game and thereafter switch armies with your opponent (and then that original army will switch between players as and when they play games and may ultimately come back to you for yet another game until being switched away again). So please pick an army that you'd find fun and interesting to play with as well as against.

If you instead prefer me to pick one for you, just let me know and I'm happy to do so (and it will NOT be Roman... ).

Please pick something for me, You know by now what (if any) armies I'm good with. Maybe something pikey?

We already got Macedonian and Lysimachid that you soon enough will get to play with and against, so I'm throwing Bosporan 348-85 BC into the mix for you and the rest of us.

Thanks for selecting for me. Although I still hate Bosporans from FOG I days, I'll take comfort in knowing I only have to use them once.

Since I was one place behind SawyerK, I receive 1 point.

As always after a concluded game (and independent of the outcome of the game), we switch armies so that I now have Macedonian 320-261 BC and he Samnite 355-272 BC.

Furthermore, I, having challenged SawyerK, must now wait 24 hours after this post before being allowed to make a new challenge. Meanwhile, I can still be challenged of course. (One advantage of making a challenge is that you can decide whether and which allies to use, whereas the challenged player is not allowed to use any allies in the game.)
