The 10,5 cm GebirgsHaubitze 40 was a fine desing of an artillery piece for mountain troops. So good it was, it seems, taht it remained in service till the 1960s in certain European armed forces.

PS: Thanks Uzbek for the image of the OSA-76 light SP gun. Interesting vehicle...

Yes, the Germans decided to start producing its own copy of the 120 mm Soviet mortar, after experimenting its high efectiveness and capturing many pieces. But that was not an original design made by the Soviets, because they, in turn, copied/derived that mortar from a French model made by the firm Brandt, which continue making models of 120 mm mortars at the present day!
