Dreddradish (Spanish - Sertorius) defeats Questar (Pontic) 50 - 22

The battlefield was largely flat with a few large rough patches around the centre. The pontic army attempted a double envelopment with their superior cavalry arm while they advanced on the centre with their heavy units. The spanish were able to defeat the flank attacks but the commitment left the centre threadbare and was dominated by the pontic. Ultimately the battle was decided in the rough where the larger numbers of Spanish medium foot were able to operate without fear of phalanx or cataphract.

First time against large numbers of Hussite wagons. They are hard to rout. Danish Baltic Tribes' ally infantry using woods on one flank as cover collapsed the Hussite left flank. However, the Hussite knights and supporting infantry defeated the Danish left flank. In the center, the Danish spearmen held long enough for reinforcements to arrive. Good game.

The Vikings and their Irish allies occupied a mountain and a hill, defensively, from which they harassed the Byzantine troops with archers and slingers. The Byzantine cavalry attempted to encircle the Viking army, being held back by shield walls on both sides. After wearing down the Byzantine army, the Viking huscarls and berserkers along with some Irish troops went on the offensive, first breaking through the Byzantine center and then the right flank.

What a strange game this is, after my first couple of battles with this list I came to the conclusion that it was a terrible choice and that it was outclassed by the various pike based opponents - in an even battle a standard pike block will nearly always defeat the Swiss halberds and the army doesn't have any other strong features. However after 9 battles they have done well despite my pessimism, while in CA playing with my first choice list of Macedonians have managed 3 defeats and a draw.

Another battle where the Byzantine infantry suffered horribly. The only formed Byzantine infantry left at the end was one unit of dismounted nobles. The cavalry managed to run down enough light infantry to push the Visigoths over the edge into defeat. A tough close battle.
