What is the typical amount of prestige players start Barbarossa with when playing this campaign? I was wanting to know for a benchmark how I should be doing.

If you go through the pre-scenarios, 5k is a good start these days... Uhu makes more of course ;-)

I need more practice then!

Try to capture more cities on pre-scenarios, capture as many enemy units, as possible and keep the casualties for your core units low. :)
But also try to fight with your core as much as possible to reach 2 star, if possible and give overstrength before Barbarossa.

Good advice - thank you! I've already doubled my prestige from last play through entering the France scenario. I'm literally taking NO reinforcements if at all avoidable.

Force enemy units to surrender wherever possible... Uhu did around 7.5k prestige

Not sure what you mean. Do you mean when you don't attack Russia (and only focus on UK) or when you attack Russia just for one turn? I think there was some limited response by the Russian forces only but you will need to defend in any case as some Russian units will move towards the west eventually. If this is what you mean?

I am wondering how much prestige is required to survive the Winter 41/42? I have heard as much as 3000 or even 4000. Pete says between 2300-2600 just to mitigate the losses due to the winter 3 months of reductions to German army strength. I have 2000 at the end of round 7 and am getting worried on what I have to look forward to.

Credit for these numbers goes to Arató Béla and Locarnus...

I did't mention a number, only a rough formula:

"prestige required for winter = number of units in the east (except Finnish) x prestige required for loss of 3 strength points each... i.e. if you want to replace all winter losses right in that moment"

Hello everyone Can anyone tell me if there is a translation of the new version 2.3 into Russian?(or at least 2.2) Thank you in advance!

How long do the beaches at Sicily remain under bombardment during Husky? Does every single allied ship adjacent to the beaches need to be eliminated? Do the craters disappear when it is safe or something? (I'd like to know when to move my men back there without taking needless losses.) It's been like 9 turns already since the transports showed up.

Hello Anderkav,

Sadly, I do not know about it. If earlier versions were translated - I don't know about it, but it would be great! -, than probably it will be also translated. Although version 2.4 is not far away... ;)

Did you play multi already? It would be for you probably a whole different feeling to play with the Allied side. :)

As long as the bombarding icons are there, the penalty is existing. It is time-bound, but I do not know how long it last.

Hello Uhu,
I have already found the translation (version 2.2 only). It will be necessary to translate 2.3. The author works tirelessly))
Unfortunately, I've never played multiplayer, but it sounds like a challenge (and a week or two without sleep)). About playing for allies, right now I'm testing my addon on Soviet Storm, which significantly changes the gameplay (makes it much more difficult and meaningful). In general, I just have to translate it into English and add a few little things.
Akulla, at one time made an extremely high-quality product, but I would like to "grind it with a file" as we say.

I have this experience with the single player. :) The multi lasts mostly for several months, as most player have the time only for 1-2 turns/day.
I'm happy, the Russian translation is existing and developing.

By the way, these bombardings in Sicily are independent of Operation Anvil and the D-Day landings OR is it one zone?
