With bolts, numbers, and some luck, the Qin army managed to envelop the Spartan right flank faster than the Spartans could destroy the Qin right.

An excesive punish from andalusians due to the terrain benefit to dailamies who could advance from the hill and defeat the right flank of the andalusians before the rest of the army toke contact. Well played. Best of luck!

Dreddradish, Spanish (Sertorius) 80-70, defeats Stones1985, Spartan 460-281 with Greek 460-281 Allies, 41 - 15

With an almost entirely clear and flat battlefield constrained by a river on one flank and a lake on the other the stage was set for a grueling slugfest. With the Spartans forming a solid line stemming out from the riverbank the Spanish made a desperate bid to push their cavalry through the gap between the lake and the veteran hoplites. This was met with a severe response from the Spartans and what little cavalry was able to get through was isolated and destroyed. In the process the Spartan veterans were drawn across the battlefield and gaps started to open in their line. At this point the Spanish attacked the weakened centre and with local numerical superiority and a little bit of luck the Spartan line was split in two. Separated from their elite forces the Greek allies were enveloped and destroyed, effectively ending Spartan hopes for victory.

Because Lydianed is a friend and a gentleman, we generals have to decide to have a few drinks. Caught in our evening, we forgot to give our orders to our troops, who moved little or nothing.
Result : a draw but a good evening, raised elbow

The Byzantine cavalry tried to outflank my right flank with their entire cavalry force advancing in two waves around a wood. I used my right-wing cavalry to block the Byzantine cavalry and charged the Byzantine infantry with my entire infantry force and my left-wing cavalry. I was lucky enough to break the Byzantine infantry just as the Byzantine cavalry broke past my right wing.
