A tricky map with a river splitting a fairly narrow open space and a steep hill on the Byzantine left.
The Germans attacked heavily towards the Byzantine right.
German armoured cavalry and armoured dismounted spears behind all their skirmishers were able to overwhelm the Byzantine right. This was only after a good Byzantine defence and stiff fight. Eventually the Byzantine right collapsed before their left could get out of the river and help out. Good game - thanks to Rob123.

A very tough battle. The Roman legions smashed the Byzantine infantry. By the end I had one infantry unit of dismounted Armoured Nobles. The cavalry pulled it out in the end.

Fierce battle in which the Fatimids and their Crusader allies, aware of their disadvantage in terms of heavy troops, took advantage of an elevated position with rough terrain to receive the onslaught of the Polish forces. When the Polish forces reached the Fatimid defensive position, they were greeted with a hail of bows, crossbows and artillery suffering heavy casualties. However, the Polish heavy cavalry managed to surround and finish off the Fatimid right flank, at the same time that the Fatimids ran out of shells, which equalized the battle and jeopardized the Fatimid victory. Finally, Crusader knights and lancers, accompanied by heavy Fatimid infantry attacked the Polish right flank and pressed towards the center, achieving victory.

Deeter (Antigonid) defeats random27 (Pergamine) 62-28

The opposing armies tried to turn each other's right flank, but the Pergamines were quicker with their attack of cats and pikes led by elephants. These closed on the rear of the engaged Antigonid pike line and would have been decisive, but that an moment the elephants exploded most spectacularly, fragging and then breaking in a counterattack. The resulting panic caused several Pergamine units to drop making them easy pickings for the Antigonid pikes. But for that, the Antigonids would have suffered an embarrassing defeat. Instead, the Pergamine army broke! Random chance changed the course of history on this day. Random27 deserved better. Well played!
