Now, more units to complete the Finnish forces roster... A rather comprehensive infantry units pack.
There is a very well researched and full of solid information site related to everything about Finland military in the WWII period:
www.jaegerplatoon.net
It´s worth going there for the ones interested in this subject. About infantry units, while reading the information present in that site, I learned the following interesting facts:
- Nearly all people in Finland fit for military service were able to use skies when the ground was covered in snow (a rather common situation in Finland

).
- The Jaeger units were elite infantry units, which were able to move on skis when the climatic conditions allowed the use of them, and they were also equipped with bicycles for movement in summer.
So, in this infantry unit pack of mine features the following units/switches amongst them:
- All units can be switched to ski equipped infantry for faster movemet on snow-covered terrain (except the heavy equipment carrying infantry specialists, like, bridge engineers, combat engineers, heavy machine gunners, etc...). This ability is present for regular (light) infantry, scout/snipers, and, of course, Jaeger infantry units.
- The Jaeger units (could they be considered an equivalent to elite SS units for the Germans?) have three switches: skies in winter, and bicycles in summer.
I hope that any of you find those units nice-looking and useful! Enjoy!

It would be nice to see version infantry'39 and infantry'41 with a Finnish cap. Maybe as reservists.

Thanks to everyone for the comments and feedback about the new unit uploaded...
About the suggestions posted:
- I made a new icon for Finland Reservists (attached here).
- The Soviet Aerosan propeller driven snow vehicles shown in the image uploaded by Uzbek could be included in the roster as a land transport for ski troopers (with movement over snow covered terrain of course).

A truly air "workhorse" for many Allied nations, which had to face the most difficult times of the Axis onslaught using this fighter, that while not being a brilliant performer, could hold itself in air combat fairly well, and it also was a very effective ground attack platform once it was replaced in its fighter role by more capable aircraft models.
Here are some icons for the early P-40 fighter variants in US colors... Enjoy!

Also, an icon for the same aircraft in Soviet colors, which received some Curtiss Tomahawk Mk.IIb (P-40C variant) under lend-lease...

Let me explain a little.
The idea was to use the M1936 helmet and Budenovka in the early Soviet infantry.
For missions prior to 1941.

Budenovka by analogy with the Finnish infantry cap, for less trained infantry.
So that it can be visually seen on the battlefield.

Intenso: Thanks for explaining your always interesting ideas to me. I think that is a good thing to add more useful unit variety to the game...
Akkula: Also thanks for your nice words. My pleasure is to share units icons (and sometimes ideas that are more or less useful/interesting) with all of you here.
About icons... Here is an icon for a Soviet Militia unit (asked by Intenso) and as a bonus track, icons for Soviet sniper units, which being some kind of elite forces, I also decided to give them a winter/ski switch.
Enjoy!!

Hello to all:
May be this is the most important posting you will read from me. Also this is a rallying cry for all the active members to help with this proposal.
Having read this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=121&t=100067
I think it is a wonderful idea, and in fact I was thinking since some time ago about proposing such an initiative here in the forum, but I was a bit lazy about writing down the ton of ideas I have to make improvements to PzCops 1, in order to turn it into a PzCorps Classic, PzCorps Forever, PzCorps Platinum, etc... you got the idea, I suppose.
But there is also another aspect of this idea... Remember that what is for most of us a very enjoyable hobby/passtime (that is playing and/or modding PzCorps), for Alex and the other members of the dev team this is no more, no less, than a means to earn their keeping (that would be, of course, a work). So, very important questions would also be:
- How much are we willing to pay for a "dream patch" for PzCorps?
- And importantly also, how many of us will be willing to take the wallet out of the pocket and give our hard earned money to get our dream became a reality?
I, for example would happily pay u$s 50.- for such a patch (for comparison a new copy of PzC2 is worth $40.-) Hey, I would gladly pay $100.- for a patch that includes all or nearly all of what I have in mind, because this would mean that PzCorps "Ultimate" would be the only game I would play since that patch is released till I leave this world.
There is a link to a poll set up in that thread, for forum members to tell the dev team members how many of us and how much will be willing to pay for their work. I ask you to go there, (read the postings if possible), and express your support!
May be, If they do the math, and conclude that the reward is worth the effort, we all will get what we are asking for here...
So, guys... Don´t be shy and please support this initiative!!

Hello guille
Haven't been here for a while and neither played PzCorps for a while too but just went back at it. I went to your first thread in order to download the packs but for whatever reason, it doesn't want to download. I removed my firewall it didn't work either. Any ways to get around it and solve my problem ?
Best

Uzbek: Soviet Border Guards (or NKVD) units are coming soon...
Speedy: Welcome back to the forum and to the PzCorps world in general! Enjoy your new times playing/hanging around here!
I will soon upload a new and updated unit icon package, I suppose the links present in the first posting of this thread will not function because they are ages old, and of course, they are way out of date.
Again, a call to all members, new, old and returned: please support the new initiative to ask for a new paid-for "Ultimate" patch for PzCorps 1. You can read further about this exciting topic in this same thread and in that other one:
viewtopic.php?f=121&t=100067
Greetings to all!
