The Gods have truly been appeased and seen fit to grant the Bactrian empire a great victory in Sogdiana. Time for feasting while we make plans to bring more barbarians under our benevolent rule.
Graeco-bactrians beat Saka in Sogdiana.

Who opposes peace and happiness deserves a rightful punishment, says Ashoka the Great, Benevolent Father of his people and beloved by the Gods!
Put down your bows and swords and the forgiveness of all your dreadful sins will be assured ...

The Emperor of the Mauryans, having heard news about the situation of the streets has immediately removed the officers appointed to this duty and assigned new ones, more loyal and competent.
In order to repair the situation and satisfy the requests of his people new taxes have been imposed and paved roads are under costruction again.
In the meanwhile reports arrived from Gandhara announcing that also who initially opposed the benign rule of the teachings of the Buddha has changed his mind and now faithfully gives reverence to the pious monks coming from India!
A great festival has been announced in the new province annexed to the Empire in order to feast the chastened brothers.

Is it still too early to build trade routes? Pontus would like to do that

Unfortunately at the moment Pontus is not allowed to build trade routes because it hasn't still got paved roads.
Infact the rules states:
"Trade Routes represent the second level of the economic strength of a nation and, when built, they take the place of Paved Roads.
A player may build Trade Routes, not before one month of play and only when already owning Paved Roads from at least 20 days, paying 120 talents."

Having heard the cry of help coming from the people of Gedrosia, oppressed by unjust rulers, Ashoka the Great, Emperor of the Mauryans, has pleased himself of sending a caravan of warrior monks and wise men to free that distant province from iniquity and the darkness of ignorance.

But building roads was the first thing I did when starting the campaign.

That's not really true, but it was a misunderstanding, because on the 3rd of december you wrote:
"EdIt: OK the rules for province income HAVE changed, you get 30 talents for conquering a province plus 4 victory points. Also you can't build multiple temples etc so it is worth attacking. Therefore Pontus will
Build a Temple and an Academy - cost 80
Roads have been built by random events - cost 0
Invade Bithynia -cost 60
Raise taxes - stability -1, talents +70
Fortify Oro, cost 50
Build fleet in Paphlagonia (Pph), cost 50
Treasury remaining before battle result: 330"
But, as I stated the same day:
"Hi all!
Just updated the The Summary Chart and The Actions & Events Track.
Have a look at it in order to verify everithing's correct.
(Never thought it could consume so much time ...)
Now I've seen there are many questions on the table.
Trying to clarify in order:
-2 no random event has already happened because they materialize at the beginning of the month, while the campaign started on the 2nd of december. in order to see them happen we have to wait the 1st of january."
Which meant that paved roads weren't yet built in Pontsu.
I'm sorry for the misunderstanding but think that you still have to build this asset.

The Seleucids are not allowed to launch another land attack while a previous one (Media to Atropatene) is still ongoing.

So the roads get built 1 January and I can build trade routes on 20 January and the campaign ends a couple of weeks after that?

I have a fleet in Paphlagonia, if the Seleucid attack on Paphlagonia is successful, what happens to the fleet?
