I am pretty sure I am the only Indian playing this game or at least the only one on the forums. So I think it will be hard for me to find a team but I see people from Philippines who are alone. Can I suggest people from nations who are unable to form a team form their own team. We can call ourselves "Medieval Invaders from Outer space" "Players without borders".

Anyhow applying and hoping for the best.

I am from India and even though I can't find other players from my country I will like to form an Asian teams with people who can't form a team within their own country.

Just wondering how this will work out if the USA has 3 teams but 20 players?

Yes an Asian team would be the answer. In the players location thread there are

Alsagoz / Chiang Mai, Thailand, Mysteron / SE Asia (moving around), jomni / Singapore, Rodymetal / Dubai, UAE

We could also have a Rest of the World team as well.

We had specified in the very beginning that the UK and USA could have 2 to 3 teams each. However our aim was to have 24 teams and so that maximum could increase if we were short.
