Unfortunately not before summer, since I'll be closing down the EGL June 1. Let's touch base again when opening up again, after September 1.

Andreas it has been sort of closed down since February and or the beginning of the DL season, More games were played in January than Feb, March and April combined. Very enjoyable though so thanks very much, just in case I forget.

2. tyronec Spanish (Lusitanian) 300-10 BC (190)
draws 16-19 with
3. Karvon Lysimachid 320-281 BC (185)
The battlefield was not great for either army to attack.

I am going to withdraw from these three leagues (EGL300/500/900).
Thanks very much Andreas for setting them up and running them, have had many good battles and it was a great introduction to meet new opponents and play with a variety of armies. For me the DL and other tournaments just seem to have taken over and if am not going to be playing actively would prefer not to be taking up a slot.

Result.
Stew101 (Thracian- Triballi) beat Deeter (Sycracusan). Score 64% - 39%.
My thanks to Deeter for making a real game of this match.
The terrain was terrible for his army, lots of woods, a large stream and a sizeable difficult hill, but it was almost perfect for the Thracians.
I like this league, I don't feel so pressured to do well, as I do in the DL and other tourneys.
I certainly am enjoying the games and taking a few more risks therefore.
Thanks again Deeter for a really fun game.

Thanks, Stew! I'll be updating the scoring system after summer, so that losses and draws both score zero. Which will hopefully further promote offensive play.

Great game!! Fortunately for me, the pikes had all the luck and, consequently, the Romans suffered dreadfully. A win for the Seleucids. Thanks for the game Isaac.

In fact, since armies are switched after each game, I believe that you should have had peterpiper's Indian army when playing imatson2527. Thus, to get things right, you now get Roman and imatson get Indian.
Updated until here.

So now that all games are concluded and none outstanding, I'm taking the opportunity to lock the EGL 300 BC for the summer. Many thanks to everyone who participated! I'll be thinking about ways to make the EGL self-organised, through simpler rules and a simple spreadsheet. To be continued.

If/when we open up again after summer, score system will be changed and simplified as follows for the EGL:
win yields +1 point. draw and loss yield 0 point. (Players' current points to be recalibrated to fit new system.)

I've seen a small but sufficient interest in the 300 BC section of the Ever-Green League to revive it in a limited fashion. (The 500 AD and 900 AD sections remain on hold though, but a 1240 AD section may be launched once Swords and Scimitars is released.)
The
current players who have expressed interest mid-August are the following:
- ericdoman1
- Karvon
- Stew101
- Aetius39
- SawyerK
- kronenblatt
- imatson2527
You've all get to
choose new armies, in the order as set out above. Please post your top-three priorities here, from among the armies in the
fourth post of this thread.
Nothing legally binding of course, so if you've changed your mind and no longer want to participate, no big deal. But if you still want to play, then I'm happy.
And if there are
other players who would like to join and can commit to being reliable and active, you're welcome! Then please post here or
PM me.
The EGL will now go more "digital" (not to be confused with the Digital League...

) in that schedules, results, and table will be available online, on
Google Drive. In due course, I'll add more administrators to update the schedules, results, and everything else, but currently it's only me who can edit, everyone else only viewing.
