43-7

In this case my deployment allows me toke intiative and play confortable for both flanks, calvay and elephants did pretty well their job and I could toke advantage. Sometimes a lucky deployment means lots of advantage and it was the key to reach the victory .

Thanks for the game

Dreddradish Spanish (Sertorius) defeats BobGanoush Carthiaginian with Greek Allies 43 - 15

In a remarkably static battle the fighting was constrained to an 8 * 3 meatgrinder. Troops went in, routers came out. In that environment the durability of the warbands and legions proved decisive in achieving a favourable rate of attrition for the Spanish.

Div D

Janohito using Assyrians with Egyptian Allies defeated fluidwill playing as Macedonians 328-321 BC. Final score 41-5

Terrain was dominated by a few hills and a small rough patch on the Assyrian left flank. Heavy chariots once more proved to be effective counter in delaying heavy pikeman units. More numerous Assyrian cavalry managed to delay xystophoroi and even forced Macedonians to commit a part of pikeman forces to chase them down. All of that helped Assyrians to overwhelm Macedonian outnumbered center and rout elephants that were left without cover. The hero of this battle was a single unit of Egyptian spearman that on the left flank for several turns held against 2 pikeman units and allowed Assyrian medium infantry to move and flank them.

Morat (Franks/Vikings) beat anderarcos11 Viking (Ireland) 48-6

A game where not much went right for the Vikings. In the end a combination of lancers and heavy infantry managed to get the upper hand over the Viking foot and hold on for the win.

Thanks to anderarcos11 for a good game.

anderarcos11 Roman defeat ZeCid Roman 61-58
Score is 63 to 58.

Very close victory, where the winning Roman side defended some hills from which the archers and the artillery disordered the troops of the other side. There were several cavalry movements, which disrupted and put some infantry units from both sides on the flanks to flight, although finally, the victory was decided on the left flank of the winning side.
nope, look gain the last turn 64-58, i have a unit come back, and finally 61-58: 3. 3+61:64
Yes, but the scoring is the winning percentage - the losing percentage + 60 I understand. 61-58

Division C

Tomoegozen - English (Continental) 1415 - 1449 AD
defeats
anderarcos - 11 Florentine 1400-1414 AD
42 - 15.

The Florentines , wary of the many English archers lined up on the hill , decided to hang back with their main battle troops and send forward their skirmishers to provoke the English in to an attack. The English arrows were able to deal with the enemy lights easily. The Florentine army appeared to be indecisive , remaining in a defensive posture , hoping to draw the English on to their guns, so the English snuck forward slowly ,using terrain and hills, wearing away the enemy with archery. Before the Florentines realised what was happening they were already too far behind once the main lines clashed.

The stake equipped archers was a tough match up for the many mounted knights of the Florentines.
Thanks to anderarcos for the game.

Morat (Franks/Vikings) beat Dragmio (Armenian) 49-19

Constrained and thickly wooded battlefield made it hard for the excellently handled Armenian cavalry to take advantage on the left. In the centre the Franks and Viking heavy foot got the upper hand on their lighter foes, and this in the end proved decisive.

Thanks to Dragmio for the battle.

It was a big shooting contest between the Indian massed archers and the Palmyran lights and massed archers. While the Palmyrans had more shooters, the Indo-Greek infantry and elephants managed to close in and rout the less heavily massed Palmyrans.
