After nearly 10 years (or 25 if we take Panzer General as well) no one can ever complain for those Polish riders for destrying the German panzers with their "sabres", lol. It was high time to show these players how it really happened. Better late, than never. :)
You're right there

Tales of Polish cavalry attacking tanks with swords drawn, with Guderian's instigation, are widely heard. They tell such stories about Soviet cavalrymen. And who do you think is famously chopping PzKpfw?II in the picture?

This is spagi ( spahi)-native cavalry, completed in the French North-African possessions. On may 15, 1940, at La Horgne, 20 kilometers southwest of Sedan, the Northern battle group of the 1st Panzer division of the XIX Panzer corps of Guderian, consisting of the reinforced 1st motorized infantry regiment, came across the hastily occupied defense of the 3rd brigade of spaga (2nd Algerian and 2nd marocan regiments).

The fight was hot. Of the 700 North African cavalrymen, by the end of the eight-hour battle, about 100 had survived, and the rest were killed and wounded. The French enemy lost much less (about 100 men), but this was the largest daily loss of the 1st motorized infantry regiment in the entire campaign.

The fight, again, was hot. During the battle, there was an episode with an attack by a squadron of marocans with drawn swords. I am not sure, however, that it is on the tanks.

Uzbek2012, you are a mine of extraordinary photos!

Guille1434, if you were going to make a Bob Semple tank, please could you make a Vickers 6E - preferably the B with single turret first?
The Vickers 6E apparently saw a bit of combat in Poland, Finland (bit with a 37mm gun in place of teh short 47mm), almost certainly in China (I think in both A and B versions) and probably in Thailand.
However, the Bob Semple would be an entertaining garrison unit for any planned Pacific mods.

Alas I do not know how to make units I only offer them ! But if there are courses, manuals or instructions where you can learn it ready to read !

Back to Polish units... Having made the Cavalry AT Rifle unit, I couldn´t help make an infantry AT Rifle unit, this one with a switch, where:

- A "moving" stance, with the same move value as a normal infantry (3 hexes), but lower Soft attack and ammo capacity, but (obviously) better Hard Attack value.
- An "Ambush" stance, with move = 1 hex, better Ground Defense values also with "camo" trait, other stats the same as in the "move" switch.

Greetings!!

And now, some field fortification units, which can be useful for the Pacific theater, (and also some islands situated in the South Atlantic). Those icons were made by me as derivation from icons made by Bebro for his IJA mod (the cave bunkers) and another one made by Flakfernrohr (the gun pit). Credits for them! 8)

Very nice Vickers 6e and 6f. One of these will be heading into my equipment file.
Sorry to be fussy, but do you have a conventional uk/polish shade of green as I haven't yet got the hang of recolouring or masks?
The Polish AT teams are good as well.

Finally, here is a comprehensive unit pack for the Crusader Mk.III, in various color patterns. Ther were two variants of this variant of the Crusader tank, the early ones had a shorter barrel gun (L/43) and the later tanks had the longer (L/50) gun. Because of the larger gun fitted to the same turret as the previous models, the loader position had to be deleted (that space was also used in part to increase the larger ammunition stowage), so the commander had alsto the task to load the gun. This, I think, should be reflected in PzCorps stats by giving this model a lower initiative value compared to the previous marks, but logically better Soft and HardAttack values.

Historically, the models with short barrel were used in the last battles of the North African theatre, and the later ones, with the L/50 gun were kept in Great Britain and were used mostly in training duties, because when the invasion on continental Europe was launched, those tanks were no longer in service. Only the AA variants were present in the D-Day campaign, but also their units were disbanded a short time later sfter the landings, because there was hardly any German air power to counter.

Enjoy!
