Looking for some more V-2 photographs, I found one image of what looks like a V-2 covered by a camouflaged canvas cover, which gives support to my idea... This of course, not invalidates the historical accuracy of the camouflage painted missiles (after all, that video you found shows camouflaged V-2 in flight, so no canvas cover possible in that situation). I was just happy to see that my rumbligs were not nonsense...

Now, some more (what if) aircraft for the hard pressed Polish forces...
The PZL49 light bomber was a variant developed from the PZL 37, it would have had more powerful engines, which would have allowed for improved performance, and also a slightly longer fuselage with a dorsal turret instead of the semi-open defensive post present in the PZL 37. That turret was projected to be armed with four rifle caliber machine guns or one 20 mm automatic cannon.
The attached compressed file include also improved versions of the PZL 37 icon (just some more subtle detailing... and yes, I AM a perfectionist with too much free time!)
I hope you like those nice polish aircraft... By the way, if we check actual figures and performances, the PZL.37 was more or less in the same weight class as the Dornier Do-17 and it had approximately the same speed, but could carry a much bigger bomb load over (not much) longer ranges. The problem was, that the PZL.37 could only carry 50 kg bombs, but not bigger ones.
Well, this is enough technical chatter... I hope that you like the icons...

The ZSU-37 SPAAG... a photo of which was uploaded by Uzbek... It was just late to participate in war operations before the German capitulation, but here it is for all of you to include in your battle order...

The camo V weapons made me think SE units. Now a single use se unit sounds a bit rubbish, but then these are expensive no-purchase units, and you free up the Se slot after use. So maybe not such a dumb idea after all.

Yes sure, these interesting details make the whole thing more fun. I always found historical research and hunting for the smallest details at least as exciting as playing. Almost like a time cop investigating the long-forgotten past.

I always thought that being the V-2 missile a ballistic type weapon, it should be treated as an artillery type unit (the rocket itself being the ammunition of the unit, and not the unit itself). So, the unit (SE or otherwise) should be shown in game as the rocket in vertical (launch position), preferably with its firing support accesories (meillerwagen, firing base, etc...) and have a ammo capacity value = 1 (so, in one turn it would launch a rocket, and in the next one will reload the launcher) with long term suppression and no fire support capability. In my idea it should be implemented like a long range artillery bombardment rocket. And, no, no V-2 in horizontal position flying over the battlefield.
Just my opinion.

V2 as artillery does make more sense than bombers class as there was no possibility of interception, while the V1 makes more sense as a tac bomber since it could be shot down or damaged by air defences.
For the V2, something like a 1 shot Karl or Gustav with longer range and switch between (slow) move or fire would probably be useful without being too overpowered. High SA and HA but low RoF would make sense since they were very destructive but tended to penrtrate deeply before exploding, which restricted the area affected.
Back to close support tanks again, there's some interesting discussion on ww2talk.com. More specifically, if you search matilda awm cs you canf ind references to service manuals Matilda III, IV and V, including CS versions of Mk III and IV.
Searching Matilda plus Tarakan in google will show several types of Matilda, including a Frog and a CS version in action.

The Polish army had cavalry units equipped with Anti-Tank rifles. Those rifles were of an indigenous design, were designed wz.35 and were fairly effective against the light armored tanks that where most abundant in the German army (Panzer I and II) and also other lightly armored vehicles, like the reconnaisance vehicles, for example. They could punch through 33 mm or armor at a 100 m distance or 15 mm at its max effective range of 300 m.

Hello Uzbek: Yes it was a "secret weapon" but the rifles were issued to army units, the only detail that it were shipped in closed wooden boxes labelled "surveillance equipment" and the troop who were to use those rifles had to swear that they would not disclose the existence of said "secret weapon".

Finally! After nearly 10 years (or 25 if we take Panzer General as well) no one can ever complain for those Polish riders for destrying the German panzers with their "sabres", lol. It was high time to show these players how it really happened. Better late, than never.

Decent antitank rifles and Bofors 37mm are better than sabres.
I should really try to get on with my British mod first so that I can then update my French one where I can more easily justify a bonus Free Polish cavalry unit

Tales of Polish cavalry attacking tanks with swords drawn, with Guderian's instigation, are widely heard. They tell such stories about Soviet cavalrymen. And who do you think is famously chopping PzKpfw?II in the picture?
This is spagi ( spahi)-native cavalry, completed in the French North-African possessions. On may 15, 1940, at La Horgne, 20 kilometers southwest of Sedan, the Northern battle group of the 1st Panzer division of the XIX Panzer corps of Guderian, consisting of the reinforced 1st motorized infantry regiment, came across the hastily occupied defense of the 3rd brigade of spaga (2nd Algerian and 2nd marocan regiments).
The fight was hot. Of the 700 North African cavalrymen, by the end of the eight-hour battle, about 100 had survived, and the rest were killed and wounded. The French enemy lost much less (about 100 men), but this was the largest daily loss of the 1st motorized infantry regiment in the entire campaign.
The fight, again, was hot. During the battle, there was an episode with an attack by a squadron of marocans with drawn swords. I am not sure, however, that it is on the tanks.

Sorry! I forgot about the Crusader Mk.III! I tend to derive from one idea to another, and any time you can see me making cavalry icons, then aircraft, etc...
