ahuyton (Greeks 460-281BC) won against nyczar (Pontics 110-85BC) 38-62

A remarkable game. After a few turns I was leading 6-39 but could not get over the line. Two turns and 5 fragmenting hoplites later meant that we were even. Nyczar defended valiantly with his pike and heavy cavalry as I pulled ahead again. I was only able to win on turn 24 with a lucky break against a unit of thureophoroi. My opponent was unlucky and certainly had merited a draw.

A quiet week in Division A where NikiforosFokas (Thracians) registered 2 wins to move up and share second place with hidde (Hannibal in Africa). DzonVejn (Rhoxolani) secured another win in Division B to take him closer to promotion to the top tier. Only Aryaman (Lysimachids) can prevent him now but he will need to win all of his remaining 6 matches and hope DzonVejn is beaten in his last match. Ludendorf (Hannibal in Africa) is still top of Division C, but he has been joined now by Ulysisgrunt (Jewish), who recorded his fifth win in a row this week. Ludendorf has 2 games in hand though. Division D is absolutely wide open as players start to creep up on the current leader RagnarOneTooth (Hannibal in Italy). harveylh (Ptolemaics), Kabill (Antigonids) and oscarius (Galatians) all have 3 wins and dkalenda (Seleucids) has won his only start. Lots of activity in Division E where GDod (Ptolemaics) posted another win to stay top of the table. youngr (Spartans) has finished his matches strongly with 3 wins and 2 draws this week, but he cannot take the top spot. Zardoz02 (Romans) has won all 4 matches so far and looks to have a real chance of reaching the top.
