An epic struggle with more swings than a childrens playground. Gary could well have won it next turn had a skirmishing unit of Javelins not broken his battered raw Legion.

Awful terrain with the battle fought in two passes between mountains. A last gasp attack by the Spartans failed to make the decisive breakthrough.

RagnarOneTooth Persia beat Ludendorf greek 49 61 in the 24 turn, a few lucky rallies and a few lucky breaks and worn down auto breaks turned things around at the last minute and Ludendorf valiantly worked on extracting my forces from the woods and rough terrain we set up in. An excellent light battle developed into an all out brawl and feathers gave way to the crunch and with my cavalry chased off the field my flanks began to turn as we both poured in more troops. Thanks for an excellent match that could have gone either or drawn way up till the last turn

Not only two passes, but two passes full of woods... not good for heavy foot and cavalry.
