The Peloponnesian War

tullius - Greeks (45/48) bt MatsuHiroshi - Syracusans (46/46) very close, but

MatsuHiroshi - Greek (11/46) bt Tullius - Syracusans (47/41) not close at all :-)

Cheers

Hi Chris,

I accepted your challenge but I can't select my army (Alexandrian Macedonian).
The game accepts only armies from FoG book.
Could you please repost your challenge but accepting armies from any book.

Cheers,
Gabriel

PS. For the first challenge posted, to give away, we can start a dummy game and resign afterwards.

Epicouros (Fatimids) 18/27 beat Leonidas048 (Swiss) 31/31.

Mobility carried the day against superior heavy infantry (with my own infantry suffering for it...)

Thanks for the game!

Div. E

Epicouros (later Macedonians) 23/30 beat Reanimator (Western Foederate Roman) 31/29.

A close fight. Start of the battle was a disaster with the complete annihilation of my Achaian allies. The Macedonians were able to slowly, but steadily come back against the very mobile Foederate Romans however, and eventually managed to turn the tide. Probably just before being shot to pieces. Phew!...

Classical Antiquity round up

CheAhn’s bid for a clean sweep in Division A was stopped in its tracks this week by ericdoman1 who secured a very narrow win against the runaway leader. CheAhn now has 7 wins from 8 matches and can still be overataken by hidde and ericdoman1 if they are able to put together substantial winning runs of their own.

CharlesRobinson has moved to the top of Division B with 4 straight wins. Also with 4 wins is Jonathan4290, who has recovered from an early defeat. Cavehobbit and macsen still have 100% records so this promises to be a very exciting and competitive division.

cavehobbit has taken charge of Division B with three straight wins. He is followed by voskarp who seems determined to finish all his matches in about 3 weeks! Further back on 4 points is a very strong group of players comprising of CharlesWayneRobinson, Jonathan4290, macsen and Turk1964. This promises to be an extremely competitive division.

Newcomer LordNytram is still top of Division C, but after starting with 4 straight wins he followed that with 4 defeats and a solitary win in his last match of the campaign. So it is only a matter of time before the chasing pack of gazxtrix, Cunningcairn, Peterabb and george123 overtake him. This division is still wide open at this stage.

Division D has had a quiet start and at the moment chris6 is the front runner with 3 wins from 6 matches. mchargmg and claytonengel still have 100% records and mcwar and zumHeuriger both have 2 wins from 3 matches.

Epicouros has maintained his lead in Division E and now has a very impressive 7 wins from 8 matches but he is still being closely tracked by Arminius and Hoggers who have also both lost only one game. The winner of this division will come from these 3 players.

paulmcneil suffered his first defeat this week when he lost to teletabicus so now mcfcivo has taken over at the top of the table. With 7 wins and a draw from his 8 matches he looks the strong favourite to win this division now. The only player that can stop him is teletabicus who has a 100% record with 2 straight wins.

Some statistics

Unbeaten runs currently in progress

Hidde (Div A) 3 matches
CharlesWAyneRobinson (Div B) 4 matches
Jonathan4290 (Div B) 4 matches
cavehobbit (Div B) 3 matches
Arminius (Div E) 5 matches
cromlechi (Div F) 3 matches
mcfcivo (Div F) 8 matches

Match completion in this section is good after just 3 weeks; in divisions E and F it is exceptional :D (each division has 45 matches to be played)
Div A 15/45
Div B 21/45
Div C 24/45
Div D 14/45
Div E 31/45
Div F 32/45
