The sight of a 10 strength Frenchie with a German commander – had he no shame?
Leading the charge onto Utah, around turn 50 was a little upsetting (you know who you are).

In the immortal, and translated, words of Manuel:

"Quoi? Je ne sais rien!! Je suis de Paris!!"

I do declare it has to have been my finest moment in OoB

Off for a pastis and gauloise in my shiny tank.

@KarisFraMauro -

China vs Japan, battle of the transport ships :D

Context for everyone else, as the Chinese nationalist (blue) player I have used my transports to bottle up the Japanes Transports. The game is can the Japanese sink mine faster than I can replace them whilst I sink theirs.

Nothing wrong in gaming the system .. is there?
As the other Japanese player, I'm thinking of adding my airpower to the struggle. Trouble is, it's on the other side of the map. It could be all over by the time they arrive :(

I know my Kobayashi Maru, heh... I'd say China has the edge in that scene simply because it gets continuous reinforcements of infantry while Japan only got one splurge, as far as I remember anyway.

This is an update of all previous Finland 1941 scenarios.
It covers the German invasion of the (Soviet occupied) Baltic countries, the Finnish move towards Leningrad to regain territory lost in the Winter War and the German sideshow against Murmansk.
One German, one Finnish and two Soviet players.

I have created a few challenges if anyone would like to help testing the scenario.

I may get around to giving that a try once I wrap up a few more of my current games. Me and Bren having quite the time demonstrating that it absolutely is possible for the allies to win in 2.0 of Overlord, heh.

I think we've got a grip on surviving, which represents an improvement over my past experiences with the allies on that map :) Advancing however shall be an entirely different beast, not least in light of how determined our foes are. I've got six Overlord games going and this is the only one I'm really enthusiastic about. Terrain is key, and it really sets the map apart from some of Eriks other maps where everything is a slog. It is possible to rush about on certain roads, but... Is it wise? Perhaps not. At least the option is there anyway. Having to figure out the best positioning is a real delight for the old brain cells.

I will create a few challenges for testing this version. Please feel free to join.

This battle is often referred to as 'Bloody Tarawa'.
The target for the invasion was actually the small Betio Island. Tarawa is the name of the atoll.

2 US and 2 Japanese players.
I will create a couple of challenges. Please join in if you'd like to help testing the scenario.

Joined a couple more of the test games :) One general thing I'd encourage for everyone setting things up is to turn on quick unit experience though. Experience is of course primarily a feature for single player campaigns, but provided you select the quick option it can play a fun role even in multiplayer.

Additionally I'm glad to hear of the addition of more AT. Camouflaged I hope, although not super important. My current Overlord games seem to be on a bit of a hiatus for the moment but for the UK one at least I have managed to put my single AT to valuable use. Positioned properly they really do make the difference for blunting an Axis counterattack, especially in light of the prominence of armour.

Do your custom campaigns of for example Germany east allow for core units to be taken from one campaign to the other?

I think they do, but these campaigns are really old and I haven't done any work on them in a long time.
