Thanks Gentlemen

We have 24 players at the mo. Another 6 would be super so if you could ask your opponents in other comps and or friends, that'll be a great help.

It was specified in the rules that divisions could be of 10 and or 8 players so worst case scenario we have 3 divisions of 8.

Final entries and army choices is 5th February 23.59 UK time!!!!

Cheers

Eric

Hi i was not quite clear on the number of games each player will have in process at any time? if a player gets more than one challenge at once does he/she accept only one at a time or as many as they choose to?

It can vary. If you are playing in 2 periods of 10 player divisions it is 18 games over a 12 (possible extensions) week period.

I suppose you can gauge how many games you can play. So it could be a few at a time or 6 +

My thang is to play as many games as I can while I have the time. That to me is the most important system.

I will normally issue challenges and play 3 games in each period. Once I finished one I'll issue another challenge for that period. Sticking to having 3 games on the go in that period.

Thing is I am retired now so I do have a lot of time on my hands.

You have given me an idea as well. There is a player location topic on FOG II. I may well add that so players will know the country their opponent's live in.

Hope that helps.

Eric

thanks to all who have entered so far - i will post the line ups when the entry date has passed - still plenty of space for those who want to use a bit of skill rather than just let loose the knightly lancers and hope for the best!

This is issue of number of challenges may create some difficulties. So when the details of the divisions are published you could in theory get 9 challenges all at once. That is if you were playing in a single period. Or you could get none at all. It could get a bit chaotic to start with. Would it not be better for the organisers to pair people each week? This would mean that it would be more organised and staggered over the whole period of the season. I realise that may be a fair bit of work though!

Which brings me to another question. Can you play the same player more than once?

You only play a particular opponent one time in the season. There are no home/away games or mirror matches.

I, and I'm sure the other coordinators, have no desire to try to create a schedule for players matches. The time and potential complications are simply not worth the trouble It's entirely up to players as to how they want to handle their challenges. Some players decide in advance the order they wish to play their matches based on the armies and/or opponents. Some players do post all of theirs at the beginning of the season and their opponents pick them up as they have time. A fair number of players, myself included, typically post 3 challenges, a third of the schedule, and then post more as these are finished up. Just because you are challenged, doesn't mean you have to accept and start the game at that point. If for some reason, you do not want to play a particular match at that time, drop your opponent a PM informing him of your plans so he doesn't wait endlessly for the game to kick off. The key is to communicate if you're not ready or able to play at that time.

regards,

Karvon
