Very good moves of Grenadine in the beginning blocked my elephants, then some luck in the spearmans fights and the elephants finally went into action. Pretty even fight except for the last 2 rounds.

Terrain advantaged the Spartans close until then end then cracked open the pike a couple of rallies and the job was done.

Morat (Franks/Vikings) beats Rob123 (Arab Conquest) 63-57

Nail-biting and down to the wire battle that could have gone either way.

Franks stormed into an early lead by dispersing the Conquest horse on the left. Then the Conquest spears and lights got to work dismantling the centre (routing the prized berserkers before they managed to get a shot in). Some valiant huscarls/lancers just managed to hold on for long enough for the heavy horse to get back and (just) finish the job.

Many thanks to Rob123 for a terrific game. On another day the victory would have been his.
