The Italo-Normans posted their right flank on a hill. Possibly 1 unit short as the German ndismounted knights were able to climb the hill, defeat the defenders and come down on the German centre before their right was outflanked and overwhelmed.

Triarii - Visigoth 419-621 AD with Byzantine 551-578 AD allies (1600) defeats dim30 - Hephthalite 350-570 AD with Sassanid 350-476 AD allies (1600) 41-15

A very tough fight and very tough elephants which having been sheltered behind village and hill held up the Visigoth left and centre while a storm of arrows from village and hill chewed up the Visigoth warbands.
When the elephants suddenly gave up together and 3 Visigoth units rallied the game finally swung the Visigoth way.
A lesson in the difficult art of hiding elephants!

Division D

Blagrot - Berber (Murabit) 1087-1147 AD beat ulysisgrunt - Indian Rajput 1050-1339 AD 41% - 14%

The opening volley from the Indian archers caused deaths but little concern in the Berber lines and the elephants quickly found they were unable to overcome the veteran spears or block the charges of the regular spears and muslim medium foot, once the archers were forced into combat the Indian line collapsed quickly. Thanks for the game

Since my entry in Div A I know now that each game follow a very hard path facing all these veteran players. In this one each army have a strong composant of missile cavalry. Add Some warriors, lancers and many light inf on Lombard side, Elephants and massed archers for Hephtalites. First rounds was a deluge of arrows when both side was closing at each other. Fortunatly for me, Elephant was a big threat for Lombards and despite many losses under fire, surviving pachyderm bring chaos in battlefield. I was on the lucky side this time and with interarme cooperation, Hephtalites managed to survive a little more than Lombards.

Hard-fought game where the Byzantines did well on their right with the mostly foot units, while on their left...not so much. Closer than the score shows as the Byzantines were left with many disrupted/fragged units low on numbers. GG it was fun!^^

Final score 1-1. Aetius39 beat harveylh 30-16 on the tie-breaker to go through to the final.

XLegione - Andalusian 756-1049 AD defeated Nosy_Rat - Viking (Ireland) 900-1049 AD, 61%-31%

It was a real tough and incredible battle, the beginning was dramatic for the andalusian, the tactical superiority of the Vikings to use the skirmishers made a big difference, 15 % - 4% for the norse. That created a lot of confidence in the people from the north to attack the andalusian deployed on the top of hill with the right flank protected by a wood and the left flank by a river. In the clash the Andalusian recovered the disadvantage and created the condition to win the battle.
