This morning I will be sending out "heads-up" group PM's for each section of the tournament reminding those players who have not yet posted 3 results in a section (I will accept 2 results from those who have played in the Themed Event).
In Classical Antiquity 54 out of 60 players have already passed the second Time Control check
In Late Antiquity 50 out of 59 players have already passed the second Time Control check and there is 1 new player
In Early Middle Ages 49 out of 58 players have already passed the second Time Control check and there are 2 vacancies
In Biblical 30 out of 36 players have already passed the second Time Control check
In High Middle Ages 47 out of 50 players have already passed the second Time Control check
The situation is pretty good with around 90% of players having passed the test already and there is still a week to go.

by Kerait
Division D
Kerait (Arab Conquest) defeats Swuul (British with Viking) 52-25
Despite the British nobles' annihilation of Bedouin cavalry on the Arabs' left wing, veteran Arab spearmen slowly but surely won the clash of shields walls in the centre. Helped along by a couple of lucky rallies, the Arabs subsequently took the field.
Good game to Swuul! He inflicted many painful flanks on my forces and I wouldn't say that the game was won by any disparity in skill, in fact, the game was won in spite of it.

Division B
lunecastle - Aragonese 1200-1274 AD with Castilian/Leonese beats oscarius - Anglo-Irish 1167-1274 AD with Irish 63-56
Very close game. A tale of two flanks. Oscarius totally destroyed my left. But I just had enough to stay in the game on my right.
Thanks to my opponent for a great game. All the best, Lunecastle.

by devoncop
Division C
devoncop Mongol (Middle East Ilkhanid) 1230-1353AD beat Garokan (Portuguese 1200-1319 with Berber Marinad allies) by 48-17%
In a development that shocked the known world the Mongols actually picked up some points as their horsemen for once failed to spontaneously combust on contact with the enemy. After the lightly held Portuguese left and right were overrun the centre found itself surrounded by a horde or aggrieved cavalry belatedly remembering that causing rather than incurring casualties was the idea of this fighting business.
Thanks to my opponent.
