Result

IMC French 888-1049 with Viking 790-899 allies has beaten Badger73 Polish 966-1057 AD with Russ 960-1053 AD allies.

53% v 23%

A win for IMC. The French cavalry pushed the Poles away and were able to descend upon the rear of the Polish infantry.

On very rough terrain and hilly terrain both players did a lot of shooting with the similar results. Finalizing a battle by melee combats of knights pikes and vagons.

A lot closer that the score would indicate thanks to a few rallies in the last turns.
Map was divided in two by a lake that probably saved the pyrrhic army from a disaster
after a long skirmish between lights on the left while the cavalry and infantry on the right got into position the Pyrrhic army was capable of using the over committing of roman legionaries on the right to push it’s numerically superior pikes on the left to break the majority of the roman infantry while part of its cavalry was capable of escaping of the absolute defeat that was the right.
By the end there was units of legionaries being held up behind the lines in both the left and right of the army .
surprise mvp the Italian foots on the right both holding a roman legionary unit for multiple turns in the open and beating a scutari unit in the forest stopping the entire collapse of the army

This seems to have been a classically proper Pyrrhic victory

harveylh - Danish 1200-1319 AD & Baltic Tribes 1050-1283 AD ally defeats Triarii Neapolitan 1440-1500 with Venetian 1440-1500 allies, 47-16

A large gentle hill between the two armies was the key to the game. The Danish light infantry won the initial skirmishes against the Neapolitan light infantry which exposed the flank of a Neapolitan pike unit that routed early from a Danish knight charge. This undid the center of the Neapolitan line. Thanks for the game.
