Yrfin :

You should take a look at the thread I've just started : viewtopic.php?f=147&p=742606 . There is one pack already available with masks and icons for the US M4A3, M4A3(76)W and the M4A3 HVSS, also added a couple of coloured units for the M4A3 with different markings for fun. I plan to post another pack for the US M4A1, M4A1(76)W and the M4A1(76)W HVSS. Also as you could have seen on this thread, there is a british Sherman pack in the making, namely Sherman MkII, MkIII, and Sherman V. I do not intend to to all the versions of the Shermans, might add a couple as you suggested, propably the M4A3 105 but with the HVSS suspension.

Best

Hi Yrfin

That's quite a wishlist you have

All 3 variants of the M4A3 are done (US) and posted in my thread
All 3 variants of the M4A1 (cast hull) are in the works and ready soon
Since I'm just working from existing stuff, in-game M4 will stay the same
British MkII done
British MkIII done but not posted
British MkV done
British MkIV is the same model as the in-game M4 according to my sources, namely Tank Encyclopedia and Wardrawings.be, so I don't see the need to work on this one
Will work on both version of the 105, the in-game one as a wrong sided machine gun on the right part of the icon, will add your M4A3(105) with the HVSS suspension.
M4 Jumbo both versions, should be rendered properly by the in-game icons for the M4A3, will create one with a shorter barrel that will stand for the 75mm gun
Sherman DD and Crab, too hard for me too make, still not good enough.

Afterwards I intend to work on the in-game firefly icon, I hate things that are not proportionate, so I might end up resizing it, the height of the tank is not properly rendered in-game.
I'm also working on unit insignas, brits didn't have those round Blue-white-red round insignas that belong to the RAF on their tanks, so I might end up doing more personalized things that fits the actual historical sources

Best

A pair of early war Soviet recon and light attack aircraft: the Polikarpov R-5 and R-Z. Those models saw service in the Spanish Civil War, the Soviet-Japanese campaign in 1939, the Winter War and early parts of the Nazi-Soviet conflict. The pack includes the "landed" versions of those aircraft. I hope you like them! Enjoy!

Changing the subject, here starts a series dedicated to German infantry-type special forces unit icons... I will test them "in combat" to see if such units add something to the variety, tactical options and "fun factor" of this game. First to arrive are the Brandenburger commandos. According to what is available in wikipedia, they were special forces units belonging to the Army branch of the German Armed Forces and the roles designated for them were: Special Operations, Special Reconnaissance, Airborne infantry, Covert operations, Amphibious warfare. Many of the troops were Germans who were residing abroad before the war and were fluent in many other languages than German, a knowledge they were known to put in good use.

In consequence, this unit icon has the parachute drawing of the paratroopers, and also I think of them being switchable to a recon type unit.

So, the concept is:
"Combat switch": stats like Fallschirmjager, but with +1 init, +1 ground def and +1 air def. Obviously, paratrooper trait, but no bunker-killer. I thought about decreasing its ammo value, but anything less than the 4 units as given to Fallschirmjager makes them impractical for combat, so, 4 ammo it is.

"Recon switch": Spotting = 3, passive attack values (only self-defense firing), +2 ground def. Reconmove and camo traits. Besides, if its works, add "captureflag" to the remove trait column in the equipment file to prevent them from capturing cities when in the "recon" mode. May also add the "nozoc" trait just like the minefield unit (they cannot pin enemy units next to it).

Besides, in both stances, they would have a dedicated move type: "Special Leg" which gives them a little better movement capability over forests, and other terrain types compared to the regular leg move type.
At last, here is the complete unit pack. I hope you like them, and put them in good use!

As Nikivdd (regrettably) told us that he was quitting the upgrades on his excellent equipment file, I decided to continue its evolution... :-)
One of the last units he added to his .eqp file were the Panzerfaust teams in several variants (Panzerfaust 30, 60, 100, 150), but he used the vanilla game training_wehrmacht_Infanterie icons (because he decided to only use vanilla icons). So, I decided to make some specific icons for those units in regular Wehrmacht and SS variants, also I made some new animations (not great, but acceptable) and adapted a pair of attack audio sfx files. I hope you like them... 8)

Hello Guille,

I've been playing with the Nikivdd equipment file for a long time.
I made some arrangements as the addition of the Russian Guard.
Also with each update of Nikivdd, I compared these two last files to see the changes to bring to mine.
Can you keep the Nikivdd structure in your next modifications?
Also, if you could give us in txt file the line to add to the efx file.
Meri a lot for your contribution to the eternal youth of Panzer Corps 1

Best regards
Yves

Hello Glaude:

I did exactly the same as you, I "synchronized" my eqp file with each release made by Nikivdd, so this equipment roster will be 100% compatible with all the content released by Nikivdd, the official campaigns, and I think also many other mods made by other authors. About your request, I will tell you what I will do: I will release the .eqp file integrated with the icons, UI unit portraits, .efx file and sound effects. So this "mod" could be used as a complete equipment mod.

I was "testing" (having a lot of fun, indeed) it making a play-through of a "customized" GC39 and it was lot of fun. It tends to make the scenarios easier, while playing at "General" level... But, of course anyone having the "too easy" feeling can play it in a more difficult level...

So, in a few days you will be able to download and examine it. Meanwhile, here I attach the complete .efx file which is 100% "vanilla" compatible, and also, the animations and sound files for the Panzerfaust unit.

8) 8) Greetings!
