wanted to post the challenge details here as it is showing that my PM to Aristides hasn't been read. Not sure if there is a technical issue there.

5. Right click on the screenshot on the Word document and “Save as Picture”.
unfortunately I don't get this option when I right click. Thanks for taking the time to try to help, though.

Meanwhile the Athenians are keeping the flame of demoracy flickering under the Tyrant's onslaught. 41 / 57 for Athens vs 53 / 70 for the baddies. It is going to be close..

I have amended point 5 to . . .

5. Right click on the screenshot on the Word document and then left-click on the words “Save as Picture”. We demand a screenshot of your game!

The bloodbath. A bitter victory is on the cards for the Athenian hoplites.

Re Aristides

The challenge were posted June 7. Neither I or iversonjm get any answer to our PM.
I've contacted cavehobbit and he's ready to play the game.
Please pick up the game or contact me and tell me how you want to proceed.
If I don't hear from you during the weekend cavehobbit will take over the game.

Anders

Aristides is replaced by cavehobbit. Thanks for accepting on such short notice P-A!
I wonder if you realized what impact you can have...if you beat Matt :D
RotW surely wish you do since that will have them stay in the top spot!

I've deployed my Persians, at least that's a start to something great... :D

It might be that the win conditions and the last column with breakpoints are unclear so I'll try to make it...well, clear.

From the rules:
Winner of the tournament:
The team with most match points,
if equal the team with best ratio of game points for-against,
if equal the team with best ratio of breakpoints taken-lost,
if equal the team with most breakpoints taken.

The underlined part is what can be seen in the last column.
In the tables above RoTW have 757/846....-89.
They have inflicted 757 Bp on other teams and they have had 846 Bp inflicted on them selves by the other teams.
So, a positive last number as high as possible is good
NA have to win the last game but they are already way ahead in breakpoints so the margin won't matter.

Yes, apologies for that - a visit to the er resulted in an immediate eye op and a strict no reading/computer policy for ca two weeks! I did answer iver's message but that was the 16 or 17.

Good luck cavehobbit!

Good to hear it wasn't anything permanent. Hope you don't feel my actions were premature.

P-A, Matt...any exciting news from the battle?

We've only played a few turns, not much action other than arrows and javelins flying in the air.

And ... its over. Iversonjm (Egyptians) 36/78 v. Cavehobbit 66/58 (Persians). We played fast and furious over the weekend.

In the end I don't think the Persians have a good answer to the Egyptian Def Sp./Archer/Off Sp. combo.

I apologize for the delay, and thanks for the patience.

The longest and tightest Companions Cup is over.
North America takes their second title!
Thanks to all participants who endured the long haul.
