Looks very good - the house sets are very good for russian citys, the Balticum and the polish side, but we need village graphics too.

Let me know, if you need some of this building sets - I have free access to all:

I'm trying to do with houses of the villages in Russia and Ukraine (which does not scale too small for distiguono) with poor results.
here is an example (I do not really like, but it could be worse)

Image

The problem is how to arrange them in the ground. I have to be better organized.

Thanks Mike, but for now I prefer to work with my low-polygonal models. a great help are the photo references, from which I can work on models involving low and easily manageable.

Keep in mind villages are much smaller than cities and towns, you don't really need to make them tile-able. One single hex size village is quite good, if the hex scale is what - some 2 km across? - you would rarely see a village in real life that would span that entire area.

That should make things somewhat simpler for you, if you don't need to worry how to tile village hexes together so that they match perfectly to each other.

You can make 2-3 types of villages, for example one in the center of the hex (bigger density in the middle, lower density on the hex edges), one concentrated in the corner of the hex (just a couple of houses with some barns and farmland in the remaining area), one with just a few houses stretched on the side of the road...

For any larger than one hex settlements we can use city hexes.

Massi - you know I need 1km = 1 Hex. Many of my maps show villages bigger than 1 Hex (1km), but the most will come only with 1km. I (I hope Chris also) needs 12-18 different village pads.

Thank you so mutch to do this - it helps me also - I need my time for the units, troop organizations and maps.

Hi Massi Destruction, I like it very much. If you make them modular where three or four small sections on one side of hex can be put together all joining in the middle, it will look just like a village with houses on the roads leading into it.

I neglected to add three requests to the tiles you asked about the other day. I had one of my regular brain farts. But I was curious to know if you will be able to do three specific place tiles, all for Stalingrad. They are the Grain Elevators, The Tractor Factory and Sgt. Pavlov's house. I sent you reference pictures of all of them in the zip file I sent you the other day.

If you are unable to do it, no problem I just thought I would ask for these specific places as they were such locations of historical significance. I love you new work. Keep it up my friend. Molto bello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here are some examples what do you think? ... can go ... or are too distant

stalingrad will work for us, I'll try to do something.

Massi, those villages and farm tiles are magnificent. REALLY REALLY NICE. I can hardly wait to get my hand on those tiles to rework all my maps and make new ones. This is gonna be better than Sophia Loren nude in bed.

I've been to Ukraine many times and seen it from the air. These are spot on.

I think I am beginning to see a reworked Kursk in the making practically to the blades of grass.

And massi, I don't need 1 hex km villages. I don't give damn for 1 hex km.
Work as you like, as you feel inspired and at the rhythm you want.
Take the breaks you need.
We really appreciate your work.
So friend, just do what you want to do and all of us will like it and use it. :)

And I don't give a damn for 1KM hex scale either. Just do it the way you want, what you want and at the pace you want. There is no need for 12-18 different tiles unless you, Massi, want to do them. This place is for freedom of your own artistic talent. I'm gonna be happy with the end result no matter, I can already tell from what I see. :D

Very good work Massi - I can use this styled villages also very good. I hope you bring up 12-18 (1km scale) for me and a different version with 6 tiles for the low level players here.

This is a test. (my hexagons are quite perverse, and the exact size is 100 m to exe hahahah)

I do what I can. (I do not know why but the Russian villages in the 3d I give something goes wrong, even if the rendering is good ..) seem a little hobbit villages.
but more than that I can not do. I'll try it another way
I thought I would follow the advice of Radoye: 2 hexes of the village and peripheral villages for the 6 sides of the hexagon. in practice, 2 +12 = 14 to 18 hexagons is wasted, however, once I have renderings of the houses, I want to make many of the villages.
However, we do not believe there are lower level players.
