Victory for the Lancastrians (37/66) over the HYW English (51/48 )

The Lancastrians started with a terrain advantage (you know, that nice one to defend that pantherboy got in his AAR against andersm73)

Despite losing the archery duel, they managed to win the melee.....

Many thanks for the game, dazzam!

I would like to say it was closer than it looked but .............. any way thank you for the education it's so much cheaper than a college class.
Okay two knockout tournaments and two losses. Can't wait for the next because as they say three's a charm!

Don't feel bad. You really fell victim to army match up there. As you found out, the average knights (which are the main component of the papal italians) are rather underwhelming, and particularly underwhelming against longbows. Hopefully you'll have a better draw next time.

Yes a loss and one I feel pretty disappointed about. I thought I had the army and the combiantion to at least offer a fair amount of resistance, not to be.

Steve you are just to ruddy good, the terrain fell nicely for him as well, although I can not complain as was my case vs batesmotel BUT you do need a very big advantage to at least make a game of it. Well 5 vs 0 and this was the biggy as it was a tournament/league game.

Looking forward to our next encounter.

Cheers

OK, we'll just wait for the patch then. Any idea when it will be?
Sounds like it isn't going to happen any time soon so I guess we should go ahead and play with 1.3.3. I'll PM you when I have the challenge up (or you can PM me if you want to set it up.)

Semi-final Result

I guess that means I'm the lamb to Pantherboy's slaughter... unless I can find a cunning plan!

Sorry about the delay! We are currently on round 14 and the scores are 29/67 30/68. The galatians are holding a ridge that almost stretches from one side of the map to the other, the macedonians are facing them off on the plain, trying to entice them off the hill with skirmishers. So far not a single warband has impetuosly jumped off his hill (largely during to a very strict inspired general). A very tense and enthralling contest, but we will try to speed things up! :)
