Still short a few nations, but getting there. If it becomes necessary to identify them, they will be called 1-6 and capital (from top downward - Capital closest to nation name).

We are not evil, we are just misunderstood.

Rhodes will defend against the Texans at 'Slave Pits'
Rhodes will defend against the Rhomans at ' Plain of Desolation'

Furthermore, the Texan's yappy little lapdogs the RHomans are becoming tHiresome so we have decided to house train them.

Rhodes declares war on the Rhomans

Furthermore, to honour are agreement with our countrymen in Egypt, we shall be sending an allied fleet to aid Ptolemy Blathergut and attack his foes the Morbians.

Rhodes declares war on Morbius.

SO LET IT BE WRITTEN, SO LET IT BE DONE.

We also declare war on Morbopolis, as our allies the Rhoman's and Egyptians are also at war with them.
There's no terror in your threats. The only downside to your invasion is that you have destroyed the 2nd hand shield market.... word is out that when you see the might of Morbious arrayed against you then your unwashed troops will drop them and run!

I think I've caught up with everything although in the small hours I also managed to delete 2 PM's before reading them - I'm sure the contents will come to light soon.

I'll update the player table with the latest DoW's now.

Results of the 2nd battle were posted above & you may be interested to know that the Nervii, defeated but still determined, continue to fight the Romans in Geminiacum.

This will see the first unequal battle - as a rough guide they are about 50 points apart. Remember you are supposed to load into DAG your original army & reduce it's content down to the new total.

GL to Ryan & Gray.

I'm away now until Friday evening but will catch up then on the fun :D

Regions of Rhome -

Kretti (Capital city: Rhome) - The most educated land in the Empire. The team of bureaucrats who run the administration are almost exclusively Krettins.
Alsatia (Inner) - A very highly populated area, there are so many unfriendly Alsatians about the place that visitors must watch their step.
Lesbos (Inner) - Frankly an embarrassment, the less said about the Lesbians, the better. But an interesting place to visit.
Amazon (Inner) - You can buy anything from Amazon. This is all due to their Great Library burning down years ago which left them having to sell all their books. They sell anything nowadays.
The North Indies (Outer) - To the north of the Indies
The South Indies (Outer) - To the South of the Indies
The West Indies (Outer) - Nowhere near the Indies. In fact it’s on the other side of the bl**dy world. Probably the biggest cartographical naming error of all time, but it’s far too late to change it now.

Tactical Withdrawal from Pantherland

It has come to our attention that our general Perdikkas has withdrawn from the lands of the Pantherites. Apparently there is nothing there worth having and the weather is atrocious.

Parmenion
God-Emperor
Lord of Hosts

Hyperboreans: 50520 / 10795 (33/51)
Panthers: 76500 / 5112 (12/92)

I was going backwards and had my troops in all the wrong terrain (and was getting my @rse handed to me in a hat). Resigned the battle as a damage-limitation exercise!

Rome is patient. We have waited two moons to see how the nations of the world would respond to the plight of the Panthers. Nothing but silence has met our ears. It has been claimed that the Panthers are the aggressors, yet 6 nations are invading Panther land and yet more would eagerly join in if not for the lack of fodder to support additional armies. Some would say Panther has brought this on himself. Perhaps it is jealousy, as it is well known that the Panther King routinely wins the yearly feats of strength in the so called league of “gentlemen”.
If so, why be involved, you say? Consider this, perhaps there is a more sinister design afoot. Look how these nations of pike heads and horse boys have, seemingly, in concert, joined to blot out a nation in one foul swoop? Coincidence? Design? Perhaps the truth will only be revealed once the Panthers are extinct and your nation is the next victim of this insidious cabal.

Once our daily chores in the fields are completed, the bone dice shall be rolled across the map of the world and our armies will march accordingly to succor the Panthers. SPQR

To Parmenion God Emperor Lord of Hosts,

Let it be said that the Pantherites are merciful in victory. Though your army was on the verge of annihilation we saw fit to allow you to leave with some honor intact. To those other foolish transgressors let this be a warning of what awaits.

NEWSFLASH

Pantherite runners have returned from the campaigns in Hyperborea. The cat gods smile upon their chosen ones and have granted a glorious victory to the King of the Jungle. Allow the cubs to frolic in the streets and drinketh all the milk from the titties of their mothers.

Hyperborea
50520 / 14224 (52/51)

Pantherites
76500 / 10035 (47/92)

Now awaiting the Hyperboreans desire to continue or not.

All hail our majestic lord,

Pantherboy King of the Jungle

Deeter Magnus has noticed some overzealous scribe has presumed to name his holdings. For the record these are the true names of the provinces of Utopia:

1. Babylon ( the capitol)
2. Ephesus (inner province)
3. Halicarnassus (ditto)
4. Giza (ditto)
5. Alexandria (outer province)
6. Olympus (ditto)
7. Rhodes (ditto)

These are the seven wonders of the world and they all belong to Utopia. If some of these names have been taken by you, then you shall have to conquer mine.

Furthermore, it has come to our attention that Texicans are harrassing our Seleucid brothers of Morbious. This shall not be tolerated, so know that this means war! Besides, I couldn't think of anyone else to attack at the momment.

Emperor Morbio thanks his friend and ally for the support. He hopes to be able to return the favour one day.

Having seen of the great unwashed from Egypt that invaded the Great Desert, and having decided that the Wasteland of Egypt really isn't worth fighting for. Emperor Morbio has decided to to focus his attention to all the others that are forming an orderly queue at his borders.

Accordingly, the undefeated might of Morbious is now going on the offensive and counter-invading! Scar, you are top of my list! Please can you arrange some nice Tex-Mex for approximately 50,000 8)

Note to self: Gotta build more boats to transport all these armies!

According to 'The Thread Which Shalt Not Be Posted On' the Parthians are at war with the Pantherpeople.... I, Gondophares of Parthia, was completely unaware of this war. I do not remember declaring war, or sending any troops to the jungle. I have received no notification of such a declaration of war against Parthia. What is the truth?

This is obviously an indication of a divine mandate from he who is absent until Friday that the panthers should find a new environment in which they will thrive in the land of Parthia. All hail the green wisdom of the almighty campaign master who wishes to relieve the concerns of Rome about the endangered Panther species!

Yikes I am confused... I'd rather not read thru all 14 pages of this thread..
Did the Panthers invade Parthia? or is it a clerical error? Divene mandate?

Armies are about to march :)
