Hmm, my understanding was that either player could reject a map within three turns but only twice for a match. The third map had to be played regardless.

An unfortunate swamp in the middle mean't the Andalusians had the opportunity to withdraw the entire wing and "swamp" the enemies left flank.

GDod Andalusian 1050-1154 (with Berber (Murabit) Allies 1039-1086) beat random27 Indian (Hindu North) 1050-1300 AD (with Indian (Rajput)) 1050-1339 AD 43-17

Retiring to a forest wasn't enough to stop the advance on the Andalusian right while the centre and left was tied down and beaten back. Contagious Indian morale drops didn't help.

Thanks to both players for the challenge.

Without having agreed on the thing and without having responded positively. I quote his exact words "I don't known about this terrain. I might wanna redo this" and then "I'll set up the new match. gonna redo it within the 3 turns cuz of terrain".
But the ground was fine for me and certainly would not have produced a drawn or sterile game.

I wanted to ask a question about this:
Is this kind of attitude regular?
Thanks

I hope it is not, because it is against the rule. Rule 4 is quite clear . . .

"Players may agree to re-start a match within the first three turns if they believe the terrain is likely to produce a sterile match or a draw. The maximum number of re-starts permitted for a single match is two."

The key word here is "agree". What I can do is pass the match to our adjudication panel, if you so wish. Please let me know.

No, that is wrong. There has to be agreement between the two players.

Weekly round-up
Still very slow in Division A where tyronec (Syracusan) is taking full advantage by posting his fourth straight win this week to establish a clear lead of 10 points. Things have tightened at the top of Division B where dim30 (Syracusan) has closed the gap to 3 points on leader desertedfox (Kyrenean Greek). Both players have 3 matches left. batesmotel (Roman) has started with 2 narrow victories and may present a challenge. Division C is also quiet where ray552 (Graeco-Bactrian) is still the leader. Both DanZanzibar (Samnite) and BobGanoush (Bithynian) look well-placed to challenge him in the next few weeks. A good week for Bodhran (Bosporan) has seen him extend his lead to 7 points over second-placed ulysisgrunt (Gallic) with unbeaten Kroche (Carthaginian) and DocVanNostrand (Thracian) currently sitting back in the pack with 2 wins each. Rob123 (Achaemenid) is in deep relegation trouble after losing his first 5 matches. markleslie (Antigonid) has extended his lead in Division E to 9 points after posting his sixth win from 7 starts, but there are still 4 players who could challenge him for the top spot. Holien (Hannibal in Africa) and sivispacem (Sertorius) are best-placed currently and both players still have 100% records. Hari72 (Macedonian) is facing the drop after registering only 1 win in his first 7 matches. Rosedelio (Kyrenean Greek) duly won his eighth consecutive match to secure promotion from Division F this week, while mh5064 (Macedonian) is now challenging for second place after narrowly beating the present incumbent olddog52 (Spartan).

Unbeaten runs of 3 matches or more
tyronec (Division A) 4 matches
ray552 (Division C) 3 matches
Badger73 (Division E) 3 matches
Holien (Division E) 4 matches
markleslie (Division E) 3 matches
sivispacem (Division E) 3 matches
mh5064 (Division F) 4 matches
Rosedelio (Division F) 8 matches

Match completion rate (45 matches in total to be played in each division)
Division A - 8 out of 45 matches completed
Division B - 19 out of 45 matches completed
Division C -14 out of 45 matches completed
Division D - 20 out of 45 matches completed
Division E - 24 out of 45 matches completed
Division F - 32 out of 45 matches completed

Division A is slow, but otherwise these are good match completion rates.

Player of the Week: mh5064 (Division F) with 4 wins this week. :D

Weekly round-up
Very much a 2-horse race in Division A now between Nosy_Rat (Lombard) and Questar17 (Bosporan) with both players extending their 100% records this week. At the bottom both Morbio (Roman) and SpeedyCM (Jewish Revolt) are stuck on zero points after 5 matches. In Division B the current score is joggy 32, everyone else 20. joggy only has 1 match left though while everyone else has 31 matches to overtake him. Warg1 (Arab City) still has a commanding 9 point lead in Division C, where Delbruck (Roman) has moved into second place with his third win. Giacofa93 (Pictish) has started with a win in his first match. Blagrot (Jewish Revolt) is the new leader in Division D after his third win from 3 starts, but 4 other players also still have 100% records. Both Barrold713 (Soissons) and Doyley50 (Palmyran) are already in relegation trouble
though and uregently need to pick up some points. Very interesting situation now in a well-progressed Division E where Badger73 (Palmyran) now has 6 wins from 8 starts, putting him 6 points ahead of Lynx57 (Roman) who has 2 games in hand. It looks to be between these 2 players now, although Darkwater247 (Germanic Horse Tribes) has started with 2 wins from 3. In Division F Hari72 (Sassanid) has strengthened his position at the top with 3 more wins and he has also been helped by the first defeats for challengers heidipie (Jewish Revolt) and shane30 (Palmyran). Meroka37 (Dacian) desperately needs points now to avoid the wooden spoon position.

Unbeaten runs of 3 matches or more
Nosy_Rat (Division A) 5 matches
Questar17 (Division A) 4 matches
joggy (Division B) 8 matches
Delbruck (Division C) 3 matches
Warg1 (Division C) 5 matches
Blagrot (Division D) 3 matches
Badger73 (Division E) 6 matches
Lynx57 (Division E) 3 matches
Hari72 (Division F) 7 matches

Match completion rate (45 matches in total to be played in each division)
Division A - 18 out of 45 matches completed
Division B - 13 out of 45 matches completed
Division C - 15 out of 45 matches completed
Division D - 13 out of 45 matches completed
Division E - 24 out of 45 matches completed
Division F - 28 out of 45 matches completed

These are good match completion rates.

Player of the Week: Hari72 (Division F) who has extended his unbeaten run to 7 matches. :D

Maybe English is not his native language and it is too nuanced?

Perhaps if they had been able to chat about it?
