The Indo Skythians were blessed (and the Thracians cursed) by a flat open field of battle save for a decent sized wood behind the Indo-Skythian right centre. Seeing the large advantage in unit numbers of the Thracians the Indo Skythians rushed hard to the right trying to overcome the Thracian left and left centre before the majority of Thracian right wing could become involved. The Cataphracts performed wonders here both in holding up the Thracian right and in trampling underfoot the Thracian left with the support of a couple of elephants. By the time the Indo Skthians prevailed the Indo Skythians were in truth holding on as large numbers of the Thracian right were enveloping the Indo-Skthian position so it was much closer than the score suggests.

Hard luck to my opponent for whom lady luck did not shine in many ways during the fight and thanks for a great battle.
