This battle started magnificently with our two perfectly ordered lines meeting together with a great clash and then it descended into utter chaos with units heading in all directions, somehow one of us scrapped a victory Pyrrhus of Epirus would be proud of out of it.

Division D

harveylh's Ptolemaics (166-56BC) beats RagnarOneTooth (Carthaginians, Hannibal in Italy (216-203BC) by 44-11. Good counterattack by RagnarOneTooth after I made a stupid cavalry charge. If RagnarOneTooth had a little better luck it would have been much closer. Also it was a revelation to discover that Veteran African Spearmen with a leader can rout a pike block all by itself!

We are very thin on reserves again after the withdrawals at the weekend, particularly for divisions C/D and E. If there is anyone currently playing in the tournament who thinks they could provide some cover then please let me know. I am hoping mkjhartmann will contact us by the end of Wednesday (June 6th) in order to play, but I am becoming more certain that GrayNemesis is going to be a non-starter. So, at the moment, there are likely to be two more vacancies to fill, one in Classical Antiquity Division E and one in Enemies of Rome Division B.
