One of those games where I was going "stercus stercus morituri sum" and then to my surprise the text "The enemy has lost heart, you are victorious!"...

The Brits with their looong line decided to overlap the byzantines from both flanks, hoping the center would hold long enough. The byzantines however split their forces in two engaging the brits on both flanks and leaving center open. On the left the elite Berserkers were afraid of some arrows and decided to run, and when the spearmen noticed their berserker general run they too did lose heart. However, the byzantine skirmishers were taken care of (they were left without much support, and thus were easy to rip apart), and as the center was open for the brits to flood through, the byzantine left began to fall apart. Still, things on my left shot to hell, I was mighty surprised the game ended already

Division E

SawyerK (Picts with Anglo Saxons) defeated angel42052 and the Frankish army by 51-26.

The two forces engaged in intensive battles between the light units during which the Franks managed to get two heavy cavalry units behind the Pict right flank before general engagement began. The Picts held off the heavy cav units with light cavalry and Celtic chariots while attacking the right (northern) wing. The Franks slammed into the Pict center with their warbands and did break through but the Picts won the northern wing and found enough success in the southern to bring home the win.
