Hello Yrfin!

Yes, definitely... The Panhard 178 scout vehicle should have a switchable railroad/all terrain version... Also, I think about making (some day) other switchable railroad/tracked units, like a version of the Pz38 on an armored railroad carrier, and the railroad transport platform for the Karl Gerat heavy howitzer (see attached images). Also, the Polish used a railroad carrier for the TKS tankette, which was propelled by the TKS engine when coupled to its carrier... So many ideas, so little time... :-)

The Soviets also used railroad capable versions of some models of recon vehicles: BA-64, BA-6

Also, I agree with the armored trains being made switchable AT - Arty or AT-AA-Arty when necessary... I already uploaded various armored train icons made switchable...

About the Tauchpanzer IV, I think it will not be very difficult to make an icon for it, as it can be converted from a regular, short-barreled Pz IV

HELP:
I cannot open PzCorps Scenario Editor... I click on my desktop icon for this program (as I always did without a problem) and the damned computer will just spin its HD (I can hear it and see the activity indicator led flashing) but the program won't start. Any ideas or clues? Can this program can be re-installed without deleting and reinstalling the complete PzCorps Gold game?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Found the problem... Again "friendly" excel corrupting a file, in this case, it was the movement file. Opened in notepad, deleted some " caracters and here we go again...

As it has been asked for, here is a link to download the complete and updated "Guille's Base Icon, Mask and Finished Icons" collection. Here is the link, also I updated the first post in this thread:

https://www.sendspace.com/file/czr3sv

Inside the big .rar file, you will find two further .rar files: one for base icons and masks, and the other for the finished ("game ready") icons.

Enjoy!!! :-)
Can you update this pack for 8/04/2018?

Ok, I will make an update soon... I'm currently working on a big pack of "standarized" Opel Blitz with a variety of configurations... After I finish that, I will upload everything.

But, there is another project I'm working on: Shallow sea tiles for maps! I noticed that in the editor there was a "Shallow Sea" terrain type, but the was no special hex map tile for it... So, I did an (almost) complete set of shallow sea tiles and "coast" overlays which gives map makers the possibility to accurately show deep and shallow sea hexes in the map. Till now, that terrain type had not much use (if any) because there was only one naval movement type. But now, I can think about making three distinct naval movement types, giving more variety and some more tactical depth to naval unit combat in Panzer Corps...

For example:

- Coastal naval movement: For low freeboard small coastal and riverine craft (gunboats, ferries, coastal freighters, pontoons, etc...) which can sail over rivers and quieter coastal waters, but not on open seas.
- Shallow naval movement: For low draught ships (destroyers, light cruisers, may be escort carriers...) which can go over shallow and deep seas (they can sail to waters where heavy ships can't).
- Deep Naval movement: For heavy, deep draught ships (carriers, heavy cruisers, battleships, etc...) which can only sail over deep water and cannot go over shallow, confined waters.

Here is a screenshot of the Westerplatte scenario map, which was partially modified by me to show the idea of this mod. There is still an issue with the overlay tiles for Coast-Shallow-Deep sea interface, but the mod is more or less operative. I will give some thought if it is feasible to make a set of coast-shallow overlays.
This tile set is compatible with Intenso's frozen sea overlay tiles (thanks to him that saved me a lot of work). This mod only changes the three layer base, and the three coasts templates...
I hope someone finds it useful... 8)

Last to say, this mod was integrated to my previous work on tiles (the Frozen hexes mod), giving origin to the Frozen & Shallow Sea Tiles mod, which you can download from the following link:

Enjoy!

Great work! What kind of mind reader are you? Now with the armored trains that I will have scattered around my map, after the forts and better transport trains. :D The Russians call your forts "Opekun" or "Guardian". The Germans call them "Schiffsmörder".

The depth variation mod is also right up my alley, and could greatly enhance my current project.

If you find time in your busy schedule, perhaps you could point me towards an animation .png and efx file for my 120mm mortars that you so generously provided a .png for? Data entry is one thing, but digital artist I am not. :) Looking for that hollow "bloomp bloomp bloomp" sound that heavy mortar batteries make.

Keep up the great work!

Hello Analog:

Thanks for the nice words... I'm glad you find the stuff I post here useful...

Some answers: Here are attached the "German" Armored train icon made switchable (Arty - Direct Fire). This is the original PzCorps icon, which don´t show any armored train of German origin, but it is what we have available at present. I will make something more "German" in the near future. The regular armored train animation can be used for both icons...

120 mm Mortar: I could not find any animations and sound files for that icon (I enormously like your "boomp, boomp" sound idea!) in my extensive collection of PzCorps files... I can adapt some animation for it, but the sound is a more difficult affair. I could not find any useful sound file in the internet, either...

Hello!

A quick conversion from the vanilla game Karl Gerat 040 siege mortar... The Karl Gerat 041 version, which substitutes the short 60 cm barrel with a longer 54 cm barrel, which fired a lighter projectile but with longer range (also, the concrete piercing projectile had more piercing capability that the 60 cm one, but, of course, it had a smaller explosive filling). I don´t really know if someone already did this relatively simple conversion (even if it is a needed/wanted unit), but I cannot find it anywhere... Needed or not, here it is, I will find some use for it, and I hope someone more will... 8)

Enjoy!

Edit: Details improvements in the new version of the icon attached.

Thank you.

Here is a "Loki" version of Puma in ninth post, but I like yours better:

BTW:
I hope for a mask and a version from "Thor"

Ah, yes... Puma made a big lot of units, most of them of very high quality, the problem is he stated he don´t like his units to be re-skinned. So I decided to make my version, which by the way looks more vanilla-like (which I like it more), and of course I will be making the masks for both versions (54 and 60 cm guns).

Thanks for dropping a line!

Here is the complete unit pack for the 54 cm Karl Gerat 041 siege mortar. The pack includes the regular base icon and mask, also a base icon/mask set for the late running gear version (which can be applied to the basic icon to upgrade it). Of course, there is an assortment of ready to use, freshly painted icons :D

Enjoy!!

Hello Guille,

I will find some use for it in my MOD. Put it into update v1.07. Thank you!

Excellent, Phcas! I'm glad you find some place for that behemoth in your extensive, very detailed and excellent mod! (By the way, big thanks to you for sharing all that work!).

I can tell you that there is an updated version of that icon, I improved some details on it like the insignia, and tried to correct the barrel contour which looked slightly "dented"... May be you want to update the icon in a future update for your mod... You can pick it up right from this post. 8)
