the score was 52-47 slight advantage to the Romans, but wow what a game it swung back and forth all the way I had 5 or 6 different units rally which helped, a big hats of to a great opponent in Sawyer K , wish all the games were so close, good luck the rest of the way.

A game that was closer than the score indicates. Rough and hilly terrain hampered the Venetians. Good game by GraftMalt and he definitely deserves his promotion to Division A.

Great Game from you - I have to admit I was surprised that it was over already...had still some Punchpower with my Swiss Keil, 2 Men at Arms and 2 dismounted men at arms - but well, you obliterated my center and left quite fast and my crossbows were pretty useless. The mobility and numbers of your troops were just superior to my own.

The start of the battle was in favour of the Low Countries, with heavy losses inflicted to superior enemy cavalry (by light gun and longbowmen fire) ... With cavalry more under control, the heavy infantry advanced to contact...the combat seemed again in favour of the Low Countries (more powerful Pike and Keil (2) units)... but with good manouvering and cavalry returning, the flanks were soon under pressure... the battle was almost equal, but in the end the solid pike units recovered cohesion and routed many weakened enemy units...a powerful Aragonese heavy cavalry charge routed two pike units... but it was the final attempt to reverse the outcome of the battle... The score was much closer, but the recently routed pike units rallied (Low Countries) and that was the end of the battle.

Mountainous terrain protected the Polish right flank. The Poles deployed all their heavy cavalry on their left against the German right flank and engaged it before the German left flank cavalry could react in time to help. Each side's offensive spearmen pinned the main battle line which allowed the Polish cavalrymen to outlast the German reiters. Grazie, Allesandro, for a great match!
