This week i have completed my first playthrough of the 13 scens without any major bug, so unless catastrophe, I'm quite confident i will release the 0.75v within June (ok, maybe the first week of July is also a possibility

), as announced
Yes, yes, please. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms and need something new....

I think I never played the spanish mod for PC1, Uzbek... do you recommend it? Is it at leat worth a search for it in the web? I assume the campaign would be for the germans in the Legion Condor, like in PC2, am I wrong ?
EDIT: I'm an allmighty Panzer II! At last! To the charge! xD

Legions and interbrigades of course should also be but the main thing is the Spaniards who destroy each other !

WOOHOO!!! Excited to see the (almost) finished product. Edits from today are done, btw. That last one was unexpectedly long!
Thank you, Raf, i will PM you ASAP. And sorry about the tags in spanish you found in the last txt, that particular scenario is still in beta state and i have some events to erase (they are here to let me know that the triggers are working when they are supposed to, but they have no place in the final version of the scene. Speaking of which...

... I have to confess that the unexpectedly long scene (the big bombing scene I disccuss here some months ago) performs somewhat faster under the new OoB version in my computer, so I'm confident it will be playable in most computers (maybe even yours, Raf), even quite smothly. So, with all its problems and bugs, the new OoB version does deserve some kudos to the Devs, I guess. Anyway an alternative non-problematic (naval) scen will be playable, so therefore everyone has his fun

Yep, that's a pretty accurate description of the the spanish history these last couple of centuries, i guess
Thanks a lot for the links, Uzbek, I have no time to play new things until the new version is out, but i will for sure give it a bite and probably have some fun with the toy sometime in the future

This 6 of July is the 83rd anniversary of the beggining of the battle of Brunete, which I'm currently having a lot of fun designing and it will be the last (double) scene of the Campaign
Unfortunately, Brunete won't be ready at time for the upcoming update. Why, you ask? Well, because the update will be ready at last this weekend, and although I'm good, I'm not THAT good
So... yep, incoming version of TSP, under its way

Polikarpov I-15, called populary as
chatos (short-nosed) by spaniards, check
Submarines of the C-series, check ( they didn't do a lot of interesting things in the war except exploiding, fleeing or be sunk... so imho they are not enough sea scenarios in the campaign to justify the level of detail of make B and C series as different units... but yeah, sure, they are in the mod as auxiliary ships)

Also check

They are not purchasable units, but you can use them in the North Blockade scenario to much surprise of the Nationalist troops
Hope you like TSP, uzbek, thanks for your interest

By the way, it's not easy (no for me, at least) find info regarding the Republican armoured trains, Uzbek. I didn't know some of the photos in the link you posted, thanks.
As usually with the Republic equipment, the armoured trains were quite picturesque. The Nationalists just used the railway system for strategic redeployment (quite efficientely, for example in Brunete) but the Republic did try more offensive uses, with little success (again, as usually happened).
I will try translate the page you linked, Uzbek, thanks

EDIT: Oh, I see, they are from the 1934 Revolution in Asturias, at least part of them. Very interesting stuff, thanks again.

Hello LNDavoust,
I've loaded the new pack with the file location: ...\ Documents\ My Games\ Order of Battle-WW2\ Mods\ The Spanish Prelude 0.45\ Campaigns\ The Spanish Civil War v0.45
and it works fine!
Currently I'm playing the first scenario … hard to have only a few troops and a small amount of prestige for the attacks against the Nationalists…
Thank you very much!

Hi asuser!
Great that you were able to load correctly the Mod

I know the TSP Campaign feels different from other classic OoB campaigns, specially at the beginning: you have a weak core with feeble infantry and many defensive or partly defensive missions, sometimes with local superiority in numbers. I tried to reflect some historical realities in the mod, but i still doubt if i manage to do it fun for the player. Anyway, things become more standard after some scens, once you begin to grow your core and your infantry becomes stronger.
Hope you can have fun with TSP, asuser
More links! Thanks again, uzbek, i will take a look this evening
Regarding the installation, i will add some instructions later in the first page (how dense can i be... after more than 1 year of develepment i still haven't done it xD) but it is essentially as asuser said:
1. Extract the zip file.
2. Copy the folder The Spanish Prelude 0.75 in the "Mods" folder of Order of Battle.
( the location should be something like "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2\Mods""
3. Run OoB and choose The Spanish Prelude in the Mod launcher window (should look like this)
Pretty straightforward, as you can see
-
Also, I forgot to mention that for players of previous versions of the campaign, I have included among the dowload files a campaign save: just after the first 4 scenarios and just before the branching point, just in case you want to skip the first 4 scenarios (that should work less buggy than in previous versions, but are essentially the same) and want to try the scenario you missed the first time you played the mod. From that point you will have to repeat a couple of old scens (although more polished, i think) and the new stuff will begin ^_^

Hello LNDavoust,
first scenario successfully finished! I had a lot of fun and with some prestige points I take also Cadiz and the other garrisons. Some enemy vessels going also down under …
With so much fun I translated the
mod.txt file (1st file level) and for the first scenario the text_english.txt (scenario file level) into German language
text_german.txt file.
There are two files, I could also update: The b/w opening picture with the two guys and the main title "0.75 The Prelude" and the opening text (very first event text, campaign explanation).
The picture is not the big problem, but for the campaign explanation I need to open the campaign in the editor… don't know if it works.
For a fully German version is it a little work… do you think you could implement the German part in your mod? If yes, I could help with some translation work...
Another thing could be the definition between "Republicans" and "Nationalists" -> You chose the term "Rebels" instead of "Nationalists"?

Great Erik

In case that use is what i suspect, maybe would be a good idea to begin with the republican scens. I'm unsure why, but some weeks before I detected a problem with the creation of scenarios for nationalist spain (something wrong in the IU). I'm pretty sure I had this very same problem some months ago and I managed to fix it, but now I dont recall how (dunno between something related to the ui itself or some kind of bug in the nationalist units data, maybe a redundant unit or so). The problem doesn't affect the republican campaign, so it's not a priority for me, but if you planned to begin soon with nationalist scens, let me know and i will have a look to it. Otherwise I hope that in the nex version the problem will be fixed anyway, so it won't be a problem in the long term for the mod

Happy u like the first scen
Wow, you offer is very generous indeed, asuser. The amount of work required to translate the whole mod is considerable, since i like to overuse PopUps and messages to add flavor and context to the player. Rafdobrowolski, who corrected the english version of the mod spent a lot of time doing so. A translation would be even more time-consuming, i guess.
In order to translate the campagin explanation (I'm assuming you talking about the "Assume the role of a Republican Commander in the early stages of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), the European prologue of WW2." line), i think you don't need to use the camapign editor. In the Campaign folder itself there is another text_english.txt file, so i guess you could add a text_german.txt as you did with the first scenario, and it should also work.
Again, regarding your offer, we are talking about 16-ish scenarios, the main campaign file, plus the language file, where the texts regarding units, specilizations and other little things are located. Lots of work. Said that, if you want to continue your translations (of the whole mod or part of it), not only i couldn't refuse your offer but I would thank you inmensely your help: it would be great news if TSP is available for non-english speakers
We can discuss this translation further here or by PM, as you prefer. Meanwhile, let me check if the translation works with the mod (it shouldn't be any problem, but this will be the first time i use another langage for the mod, so it's a first for me

).

Asuser, as you can see long event titles can be a problem in translations (fortunately they fixed the problem of lenght with the bodies of text in the events). Also, the units with the generic name need a tranlsation in the file I mentioned before (just saying these things as mere observations, i must thank you again, it feels great to have help with more languages, man!

).
Oh, some little problems with the layout … I will fix it next time. (max. 22 letters wide)
For "unit_9071" I would say it is an Dornier Do J/15 or 18? recon flyboat unit from the Republicans, we can give a random sign like: "unit_??? = 1th Rep recon wing" or so...
(unit_9071 is a special code for the flyboat from the unit/unitrooster, there it is a Do18, the unit graphic says Do15, where is the right number?)
