Hello everybody. I am on holyday for 1 week. When I am back I will work further on the Next update. Incoming is a stand alone scenario of market garden 1944. Huge map. 108 turns. Worked on it for days already. New units has to be made. More on this later. I am off line now. Talk to you Next week again. Greetings phcas

A Question. The scenario can be played as Allies as well as Germans. I have some AI problems. When the reinforcements Airborne troops arrive in their aircraft I have a problem. They have a zone to go to like Arnhem bridge. But they have to land on their dropzones first. If I say move to zone (bridge). The aircraft will fly to that point and I do not want that. If I say move to zone (dropzone). They don't go to the bridge anymore. What can I do to let them land out of the Aircraft at the dropzone and afterwards go to a zone like a bridge?

back in 2012 there was a large map mod made of market garden, by ERIC
i checked the scripts for that mod & there are no special scripts for the situation you describe.
however he has 4 glider landing zones about 8 hexes west of arnhem bridge.north of the river.

the paratroops land at the zones on turn 1. then they head to arnhem bridge,without need of a script.
because the bridge is a primary objective.
so as long as the bridges in youre mod are primary objectives & not to far away,they should head for the bridges anyway.
erics mod works fine to land & head for the bridges, i know because i have played it both for axis & allied side.
try it & see if it works.

Dont know if possible to do, but you can try to order them fly to a zone, drop, and then order the ground unit to move to the final zone. ???

If the drop order is not found, swap a transport plane to a ground unit if an AI controlled unit is in X zone. ???

Thanks Akkula, looking forward to your modern MOD! It will delay work on my MOD I am afraid :)


For the question about the zones to move to. It seems to work that the units go to victory objectives by their own without directing them. Thanks.
