Pod 2 result:
Cavehobbit (Scots Covenanter 1642-1647) 13% won vs Egos (Royalist Edgehill 1642) 43%
Both sides formed lines in the centre and shot at each other. On both flanks the Royalists sent cavalry, but was halted by Scots infantry on one side and by a forest on the other. In the end the Scots were hitting better. Thanks for a good game.

Attention!
Ulysisgrunt, Tiopepe, ggarynorman, Iandavidsmith.
To date, I have not received any of your proposed challenges. Please send me your desired match-ups.
Please respond, as I am impatient to learn more about this game by losing battles.
I will send PMs as well, although most people do not read them.

Pod 3 results
TGM Swedes beat Shawkhans Poles 20-46 ( a river crossing battle didn't lend well to Hussaria tactics)
TGM Royalists beat Shawkhans Parliments 26-52 (those 85-15 musket pikes can really dish out some firepower!)
Thanks for the games !

Pod 2 outcome:
Rumguff Scots Covenanters (36%) beat Hrothgar's Royalists (64%).
The scots adopted a hedgehog among patches of rough ground anchored on one corner by a small wood. The Royalists advanced cautiously with both foot and horse. The royalist foot predictably came off worst but by then the Cavaliers were well employed putting my foot to flight. However a unit of foot routed has a bigger impact on numbers than a unit of horse and eventually there were too few Royalist units left to maintain momentum and still some intact clumps of jocks.
Could have gone either way up until about 2/3 the way through. Good game!

Another pod 1 result:
- Hutze French 1550-59 (5%) won vs. susji Spanish-Imperial 1543-59 (70%)
The French general forgot to bring his firepower. But it didn't matter, since most of the battle was fought over a small stream in hand-to-hand combat between the French keils and the Spanish tercios. The keils showed more standing power and carried the day. Thanks susji for the game!

Changed my challenge to Richard since he did not seem too eager to start it.
I will take the French and get destroyed by the Poles.
Best way to learn things in this game anyway, is to take a drubbing!

All,
I've got a home plumbing problem that is taking my time and attention.
So things may slip for a day or two until I get on top of it.
