Sounds like a very interesting game! Is there a general release date? (If it was already mentioned, forgive my ignorance, I'm new here )

What a surprise to find this game! I have been looking for years for a Thirty Years WAR pc game to no avail, as it has already been said on this forum by other people. And now there is not only a great looking one coming, with a broad renaissance time frame (Italian Wars and more!), but also one with rules that heavily rely on my favourite miniatures wargame, FOGR! I immediately signed for the chance to become a beta tester and hope to soon be posting detailed battle reports of this game as I do with my FOGR battles. Keep the good work, you have a sure buyer here.

I play FOG Digital, but a huge problem with the hex and combat model is the zone of control effect which makes it possible to create the classic board game barrier units with an empty hex or two between them which can't be penetrated. There is no crack unit punching itself a hole through a line and, of more importance, gaps are not exploitable - this is particularly adverse to light troops that would and could take advantage of gaps and are instead easily blocked or caught with a net of zones of control (evades are particularly bad).

For Pike and Shot it really needs to be based on a grid - that allows 8 easily handled directions - quite sufficient.

This game sounds great. Like many here, I am looking forward to playing something with a different feel from the, very enjoyable, games I have been playing since my teenage years.

Great idea! The Thirty Years War was an intersting period and there aren't other games on the matter.

Will the PC & Mac versions be released at the same time?

PC will be the first release. Other platforms to follow.
