In the game you have to wait very long before the Bf-109E can be replaced by the Bf-109F. Here a few staps inbetween.

Your 109D has just got itself a part in my current project. It will start off pretending to be a 109B - probably getting a pummelling at the hands of a Polish Spitfire in the company of an He51 - and will feature as a real 109D a week or two later once the flashy modern equipment arrives.
