Setting up the battles

• Battles are fought using the Dividing the Spoils v4 module and the armies therein.

• The defender creates the challenge (with himself always as Side B) by April 7 at the latest and thereafter sends a PM to the attacker and makes a post in this thread.

• Module: Dividing the Spoils v4 (click Select another module).

• Armies:
  • The attacker uses the army that he specified in his attack declaration.
  • The defender uses the army of the defender satrapy.

• Scenario: Custom Battle - Open Battle.

• Force size: Large (1600 FP).

• Map size: Wide (40x32).

• Map type: from defender satrapy's available terrains as selected by the defender (see table below).

• No map re-rolls are allowed.

Resolving and reporting the battles

• Players commit to concluding their battles by May 5 at the latest.

• Any battles not concluded by then risk being resolved by adjudication.

• The defender reports the outcome of concluded battles in this thread, specifying who won (if any), the casualties, and if any C-in-C's fell during the battle (important since it matters for when tournament will end).
  • Example: Aetius39 beat kronenblatt 48-21, with Aetius 39's C-in-C killed in battle.

3b is ongoing, but we're still dicking around with maneuvering in notably awful terrain

All games are going on. 1. is almost finished; other 3 are early on.

Aetius (Paropamisadai) defeats warg1 (Gedrosia) 55-29

The armies were each on hills, but our army concentrated all effort on one center hill the Gedrosians were on. It took a long, slow time, but eventually the effort paid off (with help from the flanks pushing hard too). GG it was fun!

really sorry for the delay Andreas. i think we were both a bit behind on the TDC leagues and so got a bit behind. Aetius and i struggle to get more than 1 turn a day in due to time difference - he plays at 4:00 am Uk time typically! Both games should be over soon with tragic consequences for me!

It was a struggle for a small central hill, with a separate battle going on each side. The Hyrkanians won the hill, and with it the game. GG!

Aetius (Drangiane) defeats carpenkm (Karmania) 42-7

The Karmanians bravely faced their enemy and charges, but not going well, retreated. On retreat, the Drangiane army picked off a few units on the tightly enclosed map. Eventually they were routed and peace returned to the land! GG as always^^

SnuggleBunnies defeats Aetius 55-30 with one turn left to spare. Neither CnC fell.
