A short engagement at the beginning turned the tide in the Germans favour but a shift to the flank meant the main battle did not occur for a while and when it did it favoured the Germans due to greater numbers, thanks for the game.

CyberHetman and his Berber Murabit army has completed a clean sweep with a 36 point maximum to decisively outplay the opposition in High Middle Ages Division B. Well played CyberHetman.

Recovering well after a defeat in his first match, TaBai and his Castilian army reeled off 8 consecutive victories to win automatic promotion from High Middle Ages Division D. Marvin_The_Arvn can still equal TaiBai's points total, but was beaten by him in their match in this division. Well played TaBai.

My opponent hasnt played the last turn - i suspect he is away on holiday, so I am having to remember the latest score as the game is sat with him.

Rather stupidly I set up three heavy chariots on top of a rough hill ready to charge down on my enemy. I then discovered that they couldnt get off the hill due to the steep slopes. I was left wondering how they got up there in the first place!?! This left me no choice but to defend and hope for the best.

One of those games which finishes a bit prematurely. I had 4 fragged units cowering in fear and plenty of back field rallies. Well played to my opponent and thanks for the game.

This was actually a tougher challenge for me than the mirror battle that I've lost as Babylonians.

If the chariots came as knock-down kits, it would be relatively simple to have the kits carried up the hill, assembled at the top, then when the time is right, like the knights and the Trojan Rabbit in "The Holy Grail", charge down the hill...

Romans did their best to make use of the terrain but the charge of cataphracts proved too much for the Roman infantry.

edb1815 ( Italian (Ghibelline) with German Imperial allies) defeated General Shapur (Anglo-Norman) 47-12

After cutting off and defeating a group of cavalry that tried an outflanking march the Italian line turned and attacked. The dismounted knights and low countries spearmen proved decisive in the center. Well played thanks for the game.
