Tough for the Babylonians as always but kraff is a canny player who made some strong early gains and destroyed the Phoenician centre before the flanks closed in.

Both matches followed a similar pattern. My overextended Knight Lancers were attacking enemy Knights Lancers to avoid archers.
The opponent managed to attach infantry often from the flanks to help fight the Knights.
This made it easier for my infantry to fight the remaining enemy infantry and massed archers.

What a strange end to the game. I was up 53 to 49 and ended my turn. What I did not see was one of my pursuing lancers charge an enemy bow during the pursuit and the take out 4 enemy elements in a spectacular domino effect. Thanks for a quite even game until that point.

A huge clash of heavy foot as Seleucid pike with a hill advantage wore down the warbands and pike of Pyrrhus and broke them just in time before the Pyrrhic forces of mounted and pike could fully defeat the Seleucid cover and expose the flank of my main force. GG

Good game! The battlefield lay open as the Wild Field that feeds the Dnieper. In light of this, the Normans deployed the full sum of their knighthood in a long line. The attack was called, and the knights thundered across the field and into the Baltic lines like a rolling wave. They smashed straight through the medium foot, decimating the Baltic army almost instantly, but the brave Baltic cavalry did not flee, and used their superior mobility to strike back. This somewhat prolonged the battle, but arguably the initial charge had decided the final outcome already.

Battlefield dominated by two hills for each side to sit on. English army tried to force the issue, but good defence from the Germans who had plenty of missile troops and some high performing dismounted knights made it an impossible task for the English. Highlight was final attack of the day securing the score draw by felling a much loved German general and causing three units to rout.
