The melee wore down the opposition to grind out the win but I provided every opportunity to snatch a defeat from the jaws of victory. Thankfully they broke before my dudes ran out of steam.

Nijis (Khorasanian) defeats paulmcneil (Dailami) by the thinnest of margins 63-58.
The two armies were very similar, with the Dailamis fielding slightly stronger infantry and the Khorasanians slightly more cavalry. The arms met in widely separated clashes on the far ends of the battlefield, the Dailami foot overwhelming the Khorasanians on a rocky hill and through a marsh, while the Khorasanian horse prevailed in the open plains. The Khorasanians came within a whisker of defeat and were saved by two timely rallies of their veterans, then managed to overwhelm a forward unit of Dailami foot just before the rest of the avenging hill warriors could trap and destroy their cavalry.

Well played thanks for the game. A sprinkling of dismounted knights and offensive spears smashed the center of the Sword Brethern line whilst some of their knights coming around the flank were held up by an ambush by sergeants coming out of a wood.

Nijis (Mongols) beats Karvon (Free Cantons) 40-12.
A constrained battlefield, where hills bordered a large river, gave the steppe horsemen little option but a frontal charge. A handful of lucky melees allowed them to break through the German front lines and isolate and defeat enough spear and crossbow units in detail to force a rout.

Tough relegation zone battle where my opponent bravely attacked my strongly defended position and almost pulled it off. Thanks deeter.
In the screenshot dead bodies littering the ground show the intensity of the fighting on the heavily defended hill and gap below.
