Div A
Klay eckles (principate rome) 37/43 vs Triarius (Princ rome) 44/38
a nailbiter where my left flank sent out a diversiion to occupy the sarmatian allies, only to be caught up and chewed upon. T gained a dominating lead, and was nearing a victory, but a slight edge in numbers in the center and my right coupled with some outlandish dice brought about a stunning turn of events...his army broke, just as the sarmatian cav was about to shatter my exposed flank. Great one! how's the old saying go..."i'd rather be dumb than lucky...er, no, "dumb smarts beats, bad luck every time.... err, no i think it was the first one!

Div C:
Flatsix518 (Principate Roman (260-284)) - 15/40 vs Bagration1812 (Bosporan (late) 42-100) - 39/38
Bagration "The Halfwit" fought the brave fight, but his dice were not equal to the task.

Division C
Ironclad (Arab Conquest early) 38/42 vs Kilroy (W. Turkish Late Khazar) 38/38
A great battle which saw the Arab advance subject to withering and clever fire from the enemy. Fortunately the Arabs were able to reply at range and derived more advantage when their good infantry got to close quarters action achieving a decisive breakthrough although the Khazars swept away a medium wing and their cavalry continued to be superior. The camps made a critical difference - the protected Arab one holding out against light cavalry whilst the open Khazar camp was overrun in one turn.

DA Div A Result
Claymore Nikephorian Byzantine-later 18/39 win
Cavehobbit Fatamid Egyptian (early) 978 – 1071 AD 39/38
The first and likely last victory for the Late Nikies. Also the first time that I faced only a few Dailami's
My Georgian allies won the honours in this battle seeing off in sccession the Mamluks, the Armourd Cav then the Bediouns. A final change was made by all troops to finsh the battle. Thanks to the hobbit that is hiding from cave trolls - I enjoyed your new movie BTW

Div A
hidde(Sciri) 3/41
massina_nz(Spanish-Iberian) 7/65
The Sciri aborted a futile attempt of attacking the Spanish army in a plantation and retreated back out on the plain.
A draw was offered and the Spaniards, with no desire to follow, accepted.
hidde(Sciri) 29/46
ericdoman1(Sassanid Persian-mid) 40/40
The Sciri general hoped that superior numbers would be enough against ellies & cats. Not so!
It was even halfway through but the stench of the ellies and the heavy armour of the cats seemed to slowly turn the battle in Persian favour.
A lone, anarchy charging cataphract, changed everything.
It opened up for a rear attack and as the cat was the absolute leftmost BG in the Persian line its demise was followed by more of the same.
Almost 20 BP in a single turn. One more turn was all that was needed after that.

We have 2 weeks left.
If anybody can claim a game - Go to current games, opponents turn and if you can claim the game then do so. It is within the rules.
Record the bp losses as normal but give yourself 3 points and your opponent 0 points. Make sure this is recorded correctly, in both players columns and the table.
If there are problems, please pm Triarius.
Again do not attempt to challenge Radio as he should have been deleted.
