The second Time Control check is completed and everyone has passed. There was no-one left on just 1 match completed and I am satisfied that the handful of players still on 2 matches completed have multiple matches in progress. One or two of you are skating on very thin ice though and, in future seasons, you need to be a bit busier issuing challenges of your own so you can get moving. It is not enough just to depend on the challenges of other players. I will look at the wording in the invitation, rules and player's guide and see if I can beef it up a bit in this regard for next season.

Thanks to everyone who has responded to my enquiries by sending me updates. I cannot reply to all of them as there are just too many, but the information was very helpful. Enjoy the rest of the tournament.

Captainwaltersavage - German Imperial 1200-1319 AD defeats kraff - Sword Brethren 1204-1237 AD with Baltic Tribes 1050-1283 AD allies 50:23

The Germans started well spread out across a range of wooded hills. The Sword Brethren started in a much more compact formation and tried to swamp my left flank and left centre whilst I rushed to try and bring my huge wing of knights across from my right flank. My foot knights and some brave and foolish Brigans managed to slow the Sword bretheren long enough for the German knights to crash into the flanks of the battling Brothers. In this battle I had all the luck that was absent in a couple of my other contests. Also 11 cavalry units are hard to stop once they get going. Those Knightly charges are deadly if they are launched correctly. They crushed the enemy holding force and started on the centre. A very exciting game.
