Half of the battle was fought on a hill on the Rus right, with a marsh in the middle, and flat ground to the left. The Rus made gains on their right but the left totally collapsed against the Polish there. Luckily for the Rus they kept making gains on the hill area while it took a while for the Polish forces to help out there. Ultimately it was a close, hard match against a good opponent. GG!^^

New players can enter a maximum of 3 sections in their first season so, yes, it is best to have all DLC's to give yourself the widest choices.

ericdoman1 - Spartan 221-146 BC and Roman 280-220 BC allies defeated tyronec - Roman 490-341 BC with Italian Hill Tribes 490-275 BC 62 -34

Heroics all round here. One of my pike units with gen in 3 out of 4 combats, double dropped the enemy unit. Another pike unit with general who was hit in the flank and fragged, managed to stand and rally to disordered. Whereas TC had a Vet spear unit with gen fending off a pike unit and hastati to flank for 4 to 6 turns unitl the pike unit was routed due to a flank attack and a citizen hoplite unit. Hanging on in there when disrupted and facing a thureophoroi and Hastati unit both were uphill as well for about 4 turns, until support arrived to rout both my units. Very good game, especially as TC had no real answer to the Spartan pikes but did a lot of damage to them. Well played TC.

The Persian army drove back the Pic's skirmish line with little difficulty. The Pic's unleashed their Chariots causing chaos to ensue. The violent Pic's surged forward spearing every thing in their path. My 1st victory in the DL. Sorry sgtOgre, but I owed you one for thumping the Masadonians in the CA.

lunecastle – Welsh (North) 1100-1295 AD with English 1155-1271 AD allies beats Captainwaltersavage - German Imperial 1200-1319 AD 48-22

Always a tough game against the Captain. No rallies for the Imperial forces at the end, coupled with
some standout holdouts by some Welsh units. A great game of manoeuvre, the game being played at right angles
to our starting positions, as the Welsh managed to form a line between 2 woods. All the best, Lunecastle.
