The most Holy Roman Empire vs. the Eastern Roman Empire clashing at a deep stream. Both sides facing off and exchanging arrows but some of the Byzantine Lancers went over and were catched between the stream and my troops slightly grinded down. The Varangian guard tried to cross the river at one point but was hold off by brave Spearmen while at the other side dismounted knights with crossbow support crossed the stream. The Varangians turned around and a fierce line up started in parallel to the dismounted German Knights and at once - the full line engaged. Just in that moment - the pheasant spear men took their heart - crossed the river and went into the back of the Varangians and the battle was won. Good Game LunarFoxx - was fun and have to admit the deep river (tbh. I just realised it when the game started that it was a deep one) helped my army to play its strength.

The Carthaginian's skirmishers were a pain in the neck for the Thureophoroi on the Pyrrhic left flank, which had a very hard time when the Carthaginian Italian foot launched their attack through the marshes. Phalanxes eventually lauched their own attack uphill against ennemies veterans. The loss of the Carthaginian's CiC dramatically hampered the chances of Carthagene, whose elephants were not able to prevent their own left flanck to be rolled up by the Phalanxes.
