A brisk start in Division A sees Aetius39 top of the table despite suffering 2 narrow defeats already. pantherboy, the defending champion, has started solidly with 2 straight wins and XLegione also has 2 wins from 3 starts. Division B is shaping up to be a very tight division. tmac11 is currently top with 3 wins from 6 matches with SpeedyCM 3 points back, but with games in hand. In Division C ray552 and random27 are battling it out at the top, both players having 3 wins from 4 starts and Captainwaltersavage has started with a win. Nothing to report from Division D so far, but there has been plenty of action in Division E where Giacofa93 has 4 wins from 5 starts and leads Badger73, who has won 3 of his 4 matches.

ericdoman1 (Irish) is the early leader in Division A despite losing a match to second-placed Snugglebunnies (Papal) this week. Cunningcairn (Aragonese), harveylh (Berber) and tyronec (Ghibelline) have all had winning starts too. Nothing to report yet from Division B but in Division C "whirlwind" joggy has been busy and has completed 8 of his 9 matches already, winning 4 of them to top the table ahead of kraff (Sword Brethren) and Warg1 (English). Division D is also fairly quiet whereas in Division E they have already completed one=third of the matches. Newcomer Jack-3kBattery (Papal) has started off at a furious pace with 5 straight wins with Tratmot (German) and another newcomer Captain Punka (Aragonese) in hot pursuit.

The Frankish had control of a low hill overlooking a plain, with ranges of high mountain peaks blocking both sides of the battlefield. On the left, the Frankish cavalry charged boldly in the face of a rain of arrows unleashed by the Turkish horse archers supported by heavy artillery engines. Sustaining high casualties, the lancers finally routed the opposing cavalry and overrun the right of the Turkish infantry line, held in rough ground only by massed archers.
