Battle Report Turk1964 (Med Crown of Aragon) v iandavidsmith (French Ordinance)

Iandavidsmith 21/30 Turk1964 37/39

Iandavidsmith 1pt +37/39=3pts =4pts

Turk1964 1pt +21/30=2pts =3pts

Well the Argonauts were up against Swiss pikemen mercenaries fighting for the French. They used the cover of a near by woods to attempt to ambush the Swiss, but lack of discipline saw the Troops charging well formed Swiss hedgehog to disasterous effect. The Knights fared no better bringing rubber mallets instead of maces for melee.Well disciplined French held well and nearly caused a route to the Argonauts who held out just. Thanks for a great game Ian and for listening

batesmotel( Medieval Irish-early) 16/56 = 1 + 3 + 2 = 6 points
BurinusAgricolae(Yorkist Pretender) 34/34 = 1 + 1 = 2 points

Thanks for the game. The longbowmen didn't get enough time to soften up the Irish before the Irish numbers could tell.

rexhurley 30/46 v Todd645 39/36.

Brits selected a too obvious flank with two three tier hills so i decided to go Xbow head to head v LBow with my lancers just beside paid heaps of dividends Todd had deployed mostly as expected with one third of his wing on the other flank which was pretty much out of the game, fast move lots of shooting straight into charges, his one general die trying to counterattack lancers who were up hill, pummelled game over by bottom of the eigth.

Game played in just over two hours with timezones 16 hours apart :D

rex total 6pts todd 3 pts

Thanks to the guys who have just finished.

I am going to be in a bit of an awkward situation for a few days. From 6th to 9th April. I am house and dogs sitting and will have no access to any computer (have to stay in the house) and I do not have one of those new mobiles (mines nearly 7 years old) so I can check out this site. If it is possible please gents, those who have finished could you push those guys who haven't to try and complete their games. I will have access to a pc from either 9th April, very late but definitely on the 10th April.

Sharkall Scots in Britain (early) vs TGM Medieval Crown of Aragon (later)

Result: 43/40 (win) vs 32/42 (76%) (Turn 10)
Points: 6 pts (1 + 3 + 2) vs 4 pts (1+3)

Thanks TGM for an interesting game, I felt like I should lose more than a couple of times. Fed my impact MF to the wolves, ah I mean knights, but the aragonese pikes were pretty unlucky in the center, allowing me to break through. I should try to bring more skirmishers in the future, relying on good cohesion tests is too intensive :P

Turn 10

Fedem HYW Britain (Late) 16/40 vs Aristides Med Aragon 20/38

Fedem 1 (initial score) + 2 (51-75% casualties) = 3
Aristides 1 (initial score) + 1 (26- 50% casualties)= 2

Tks.

Hi All

Martog here, with the results

Martog Scots Isles 22/41 (6 pts) : Supervark Medieval Welsh 42/41 (3pts)

Hope we are not the last , thanks Supervark for keeping this going, despite technical issues ... Brawn won out in the "Dual of the Celts"

zumHeuriger 1+ 3 (75-100%) Low Countries (Max) 16/31

cavehobbit 1 + 2 (51-74%) HYW English (Cont, Early) 30/34

A good fight but the mostly flat open terrain allowed the pikes to roll forward, while the English LB in the Low Countries army were able to screen the English shooting. The drilled mobility of the English army allowed them to run away the last turn to avoid defeat, however.
