Jonno 83/81 vs eric 25/58

As has been mentioned Jon's cohesion test rolls prob lost him the game. Although he did make a game of it. he could have quite easily stayed on top of the steep hills on his right and further back in the woods on his left and back further in the centre.

Round 2
ROTW vs UK&Eire

Game 4 (open) Alexandrian Macedonian (ROTW) -Fedem 48/54 vs Thracian-Triarius (UK&Eire) 76/76

Bloody tough battle against a herd of Tracians and an Excellent Commander. For being open and though I won the initiative I wasn't able to find a very good map for the Alexandrian Army. My center formed by 2 Superior Hypaspits MF Off Spears supported by some MF HW, MF Off Spears and Lght SPrs with Swrd Fought a long battle for the steep hills on the center. Thnks to a great performance of the Supeior Hypaspits and rear support (and luck of course) they were able to hold the line till the very last couple of turns when they collapse. That gave enough time mostly to our left flank were the Agema's Cavalry and Companions supporte by some HF Off Sprs, 2 or 3 MF Off Sprs and one HF Pike did most of the killing capturing a lot of LF, LC some thracian Cav and MF Light Spears. However our cavalry there barely survived as of course they were outnumbered.
On our Right flank we catch mos of thet LC (Light Sprs w/javelins), however they resist there more than I thought causing some BP's on our forces.
We started with a good advantage till their superior numbers started to matter. But we made it....hardly :)
very difficult as cause of the terrain i was able to use my Pikes not very often.

Tks for the battle Triarius and go go go ROTW!!!

P.S.: Any one knows how to post an image in a way to be able to see on this forum the right side of it? Dont know why it doesnt fit.

Thks!

UK/Eire v ROTW

stockwellpete (Alex Macs) 18/51 beat tullius (Persians) 68/57

My opponent had no chance. The Macs just advanced and crushed everything in sight.

While 10 turns seemed to work ok this time, I'd still rather see the limit at 12 turns than 10, especially with my HF and MF based Irish.

Very Important News

HI Guys

Based on, I believe Fedem's message to SLitherine.

They now have a system set up that will inform a player that he may have cheated.

This is great news as it again confirms that this game is fair and open.

Hopefully Slitherine will announce to the community if a player, players, (better still nobody at all) are breaking the rules.

Might be worth pming all friends and foes you have to inform them about this.

Nope but it does look that way.

I am going to wait for Iain to post a message confirming it.

I am back from computerless limbo, bigger and badder than ever

Massina,
I have posted a challenge (L Ach Persian - crowded), password massina

Hidde,
I managed to spirit my injured pike unit away from your bows with 1 AP left for my army. Turn 23 of our epic fight awaits you.

Thus ended "The Longest Game" :
Turn 23
Achmaenid (Europe) – hidde 41/50 vs Macedonian (UK&Eire) - ianiow 57/56

An epic battle if ever there was one. The injured pike might have slipped away but a Hoplite were sufficiently low in % and open for a rain of arrows.
Down to 57% it went and then four cavalry were in position to charge in...one was enough
Thanks to Ian for a memorable fight!

Game Over

Very Crowded
Cavehobbit(Eur) Thracians 82/74 v. iversonjm(NA) Indians 17/77

A bit of an uphill fight for the Thracians, who ended up with the wrong terrain.

Thanks for the game.
